The amount of time and space defenders give him during his first couple seasons would be unthinkable these days, he really ended up changing the way that defenders gap up just to account for him.

Первый 03/04 из-за даты рождения (на 2 дня позже разрешённого драфтом) и следующего за ним полностью локаутного сезона 04/05. Плюс к этому 4 неполных сезона: частично локаутного 12/13, ковидного 19/20, постковидного 20/21 и из-за травмы 24/25.
Это действительно выдающееся достижение!

Какой он был быстрый в начале карьеры. Если кто-то скажет что Овечкин медленный, то пусть покажет мне хотя бы один свой гол, который лучше чем топ 5 голов Овечкина. Мне кажется лучшие голы Овечкина до сих пор никто не смог превзойти в плане скорости, красоты, мощи, техники.

I'm not a season ticket holder or anything, but I've been to probably 20 caps games over the course of Ovechkin's career and he scored a goal in all but two of them. Greatest player to ever grace a Washington sports team roster, he's been incredible to watch.
