If you want to see a real leader/captain, go watch Nick Suzuki on Montreal. He's been involved in 45% of the teams goals since 4Nations, and is leading by example every night. That, in turn, causes everyone else to play their best. Now look Larkin – every season he completely tanks at the end when they need him most. He sounds absolutely weak and defeated in his interviews. When your "leader" falls apart during critical times, that infects everyone else.
Todd McLellan is a very good coach.I can't imagine him looking at the video of the 6 on 5 two plus minutes and just shaking his head in disbelief. They were lucky to come away with a win.
The reporters could use some lessons in etiquette and understand how classy it is to refrain from clickbait. Spotlighting games as having "magnitude" builds pressure. Called Talbot old. At the beginning of March they referred to two game losses as a skid. Just no respect for the team.
tomorrow is the season. if they lose, the season is basically over. if they win or lose in OT or shootout, the season is ABOUT over. if they win in regulation, they are alive.
ya know i'd never been a Larkin hater but his answer when asked about the atmosphere tomorrow and at 4 Nations there makes me really dislike his mindset and attitude and think he ain't the guy. "that'll be hard to top."
Kane has topped it. In fact Kane played in OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL OVERTIME, IN CANADA, and he would tell you that was not the best or biggest game atmosphere he ever played in, and honestly not even close to being. If Larkin believes that'll be hard to top he is showing he doesn't ever expect to create any magic in Detroit or accomplish anything as a team in the NHL. Big time games and moments in the playoffs are infinitely bigger than any made for TV international exhibition tourney. But Dylan wouldn't know that bc he's never been in that atmosphere or created it.

Larkin looks hurt man. The last few games he hasn’t been himself
Florida was missing eight of its players. Chucky, Bennet, Forsling, Kulikov, Barkov, Reinhart, Sturm, and Ekblad.
Lets go Red Wings!!

Know when to give a goalie a rest..
Basically beat Florida's AHL team. Doubt they beat Montreal and they would still need help. This season is over.
Bergie isn’t panning out and should not be in the lineup opening day next season
Even if we beat Montreal we're still 4 points behind them. We're not making the playoffs.
This is the NHL if they put the uniforms on the games count ! Wings have injuries also ! W is a W ! Let’s be glad look forward to Habs !
There is one thing, I’ve seen Pee wee hockeys players get the puck out along the boards better then 11 ! Terrible
I can't watch this bs the guy can't say his Gm has let the whole team down
Can you guys stop asking stupid questions? Wow
2 points is 2 points. Season on the line tomorrow
Todd sounds a little sick hopefully its nothing and the players dont get sick
Lol does anybody actually believe that this team won't blow it like they always do?. 😂
I love the redwings but this roster ain't it. They will lay an egg as usual.
Larkin has been bad lately, he needs to step up and be better this last stretch. It’s time for the captain to show up.
