  1. I hate to say it but I think Stevie Y has had enough time to get the Wings back into the playoffs. Time to go!

  2. I'll be watching the last five, even if we have no chance. The boys had their chances to capitalize last night and didn't. That's… kinda been one of the season's storylines.

  3. Bro, do you really think it was their plan to play really hard for one period and then relax for the next two? That's not how it goes. They just played badly for the rest of the game. They were good when they kept getting the parts of the neck, and then they reverted back to the way they usually play.

  4. Compher missed the empty net. And no, the Habs' defenceman's stick did not deflect his shot over the net. Something doesn't smell right here… 🤑💰💰💰💰😉

  5. This team is a dumpster fire. Prospects won’t save us, even if they come up. Which they probably won’t because who would want to play for this dumpster fire? It’s gonna be the same song and dance next year but probably worse, as we’re gonna lose Kane, one of the lone bright spots on our team. Lock in your bets for no playoffs in the 2020s folks, we’re only 4 years away from being 6 years away’

  6. They cant finish. They have no talent. They did dominate, but if u cant finish, then it means nothing.

  7. The Redwings and the organization as a whole have become the NY Jets of the NHL 🤣🤣
There’s no reason to even rant about it anymore. It’s blatantly obvious that nothing is going to change in the foreseeable future. It is what it is 🤷🏼

  8. Justin Holl. The dude is ALWAYS in the middle of a turnover, bad play, goal against. My heart rate goes up everytime he’s on the ice. Justin Holl is the manifestation of Yzerman’s mistakes, and I think you can track that all the way back to when we drafted Zadina over Quinn Fucking Hughes. The dude cannot keep up with anyone under 30, he constantly gets passed in transition, he refuses to play hard and tie guys up in front of the net, the only thing he’s good at his dumping the puck in which if you noticed in the first period we did so little of that, which lead to such a commanding 1st. I cannot even begin to understand how this guy is worth $3.5 a year. Dude should be coaching little league in Cuba

  9. I blame this season on Stevie. Every bad decision he’s made led to this. Start of the season we trade Maata, Ghost, Walman, Sprong, Perron, for absolutely nothing of value in return. Tarasenko has done nothing but hit guys knees from the blue line all season. Justin Holl is the worst player in the NHL bar none. The guys we gave up while still not great were far better than what we got in return. We lost consistently because of this rosters lack of depth, and that really came to life in the Ottawa game when the guy we traded away scored on us, the guy we should’ve done after scored on us, and the goalie we NEEDED to go after in the offseason stood us up. It will not matter how many great prospects Yzerman drafts if there is not a core of seasoned talent to guide them and help develop them in the NHL. I pray this offseason allows for massive roster changes, because if this roster looks anything like it does right now, we will be no closer to playoffs next April than we are right now.

  10. I keep seeing the fire yzerman comments, but what about chris illitch? He’s the guy who gives the green/red light with the 💰 whenever yzerman wants to sign someone. I’m not saying yzerman is innocent, but I think there’s more bts than we’re seeing/hearing about.
This is not an nhl team. We have a handful of nhl’ers and the rest are minor league at best. Can’t have just a few guys carrying this team. Gotta have all lines contributing.

  11. Cant score 5v5 and with no power play goals, this is the reoccurring result.. all season. This team is One Dimensional. PP was good, when it worked. Thats it.

  12. As happy as I am with our position in the standings I do feel bad and wish it was the wings in the playoffs instead of a Florida team. It's been a while since your team has been in the playoffs and I really hope you guys can make it back soon

  13. Stevie need to fix some of the poor deals, he's made. Holl is terrible, Gus needs to go, Vlady has been a huge disappointment, and Bergy just isn't cutting it. I scream Holl's name in anger at least twice, every game. I'd rather see rookie's get some time up, than watch vet's just suck.

  14. Also the part where Montreal has shiny new things coming to their team TODAY and we have…some maybe decent guys headed to the AHL maybe sometime for probably the next year or two

  15. The Wings were done in September when they brought back LaLonde, Tarsenko was their big GET and Holl was gonna be a regular D Man…time to move in from #19..

  16. Glad the Sens have shown who was the best this year between themselves, the Sabres and Wings. How's that Yzerplan going now? Go Sens Go!!!! Can't wait for the playoffs to start.

  17. Next year, it will be a 6 team scrabble for 3 playoff spots. I hope Detroit makes it next year.

  18. They were completely out of position on the 6/5 when Gally scored. Then on Suzuki's empty net they had no more motivation. they were just realizing the shock of not making the playoffs. They had to win against Montreal to even have that iota of a chance cause Montreal only needs a tie to knock Detroit out I can't see Montreal losing 4 in regulation.

  19. Shots on goal were mostly low percentage. Lots of shots behind the goal line. Lack of talent is our issue and no hope for the next few years. Another step back next year

  20. People like to point fingers and blame Steve for bad trades and bad picks. Huh…. what about the singing for 'Cat' and 'Kane', what about the pick for 'Seider'. And there are others. Granted, I wasn't happy when he traded off Walman, but geeeeezzzzz…. lighten up people. How many of you ?fans? were around in the 70s and 80s when things were bleak. Oh sure, they were making the playoffs. Big deal. Just be a fan and enjoy watching the game.

  21. As a Habs fan I genuinely feel bad…Brutal way to essentially have your season ended. I'm happily shocked by how our season is going but must be frustrating for other fanbases as we really didn't start our rebuild until 2022. I didn't expect this from Montreal but I will say Im not surprised by Detroits season…Im sure its not a fun conversation but if firing a team legend isn't something they want to do, maybe its time Yzerman is promoted to Director of hockey operations and they get a new brain in the GM position. From a outside view I looked at the defense and also the player ages and when Yzerman took over and I am perplexed, I think getting a new GM with a new brain and new eyes while still having Yzerman as part of the organization to assist as well as keep that relationship good, would be a very beneficial decision for Detroit.

  22. I am not to happy with Raymond but he’s still
Been getting points but the end of the year magic just wasn’t there and hasn’t been us fans tried to over look the lack of offense well now we gotta just say it we just didn’t have enough allowing teams
To hang around and then expecting All these first and second year players to not make mistakes- the only thing that gets me is put a top 6’ up with a player like Kasper that can fill in if needed

  23. We were never a playoff team. It’s clear we’re not there yet, from day 1!

  24. I mean Larkin Scored, but he didn't even move his stick. Kane Scored a bank shot.

I believe that they need to move on from him. The Loser mentality is to strong and watching him lately….I just see a guy who isn't going to lead us anywhere.

He had 3 chances to do well in the season's end. He can't do it here. He won't do it there.

The rest of the roster isn't the problem. It's the top center….

  25. I think it's time for an ownership change. Seems Chris isn't putting much effort into the Wings' success. Mike Illitch would have never tolerated missing the playoffs for 9 straight years now!! The curse of "the Joe" continues on.

  26. It's time to blow it up and trade Larkin as he's NOT Captain material and never has been! Need to blow it up and tank for McKenna 2026 draft

  27. A huge thing of late is how Powerplay has let them down. Of late they've been getting too cute trying to finesse the cross crease passes. Montreal really collapsed down low to take them away. Where is the one timer or the slot?

  28. I agree with you, Scotty… I, too, was holding out probably too much hope for yesterday. I felt my heart crack with the tying goal and break with the second. I knew after the shots on goal with 1 goal to show, it wasn't going to end well. I'm feeling numb and sad today. It just sucks.

In regards to Watson, he was brought up like Cossa on an emergency call up, meaning that he could only play if someone was injured. Hoping now that Wings are done, they'll send him back to GR where he's needed. He's made a huge difference for them, and they're trying to get back into third place so they can have a week off to rest and practice.
