  1. to suspend him 10 games for a clear accident says the league does not care about accidents. Beckman knew he made a mistake right away…thought he was a player on some level.

  2. Hmmm. As an official I’m not in that space. But the player at contact extends his arms. Can’t tell if he is trying to grasp ref to hold him when making contact or trying to launch him. He has immediate reaction of care for ref. Likely not thinking the ref would get launched like a rag doll on contact. Tough call. But the other ref is going to err on safe side to protect his team. Would like to hear from player, ref and white player that may have heard something.

  3. He definitely wasn’t paying attention and split second thought it was the opposing player and just reacted. Still a tough look.

  4. This is bs. Ref was way out of position and interfered with the play. Player was concentrating on the opposition and the play. He clearly didn’t intend to hit nor injure the ref. Was an instinctive response of self preservation.

  5. can anyone see the puck before 00:20 when you can clearly see it at the players feet, it seems like maybe the ref was completely blocking the puck
