I'm glad the season is over at this point. Looking forward to the draft and the offseason. The team's problems begin and end on the blue line. They need to get some competent defensemen and I don't really care how they do it atp. Askarov will be the opening night starter next year and we can't ruin his development by icing another D corps like this. Macklin and Smith should both take a step forward next year.

For everyone that is a Stu hater, your criticism is justifiable; however, look what he can do when the Oil play a solid defensive minded game. Many times when he’s had a rough game, much of the play has been a complete breakdown from the Oil or a Bouche Blunder.
LA’s special teams are not god at all and if they get into a similar situation with penalty calls like the last game, the Oil will wipe the floor with them. LA pretty much has to pray that the refs sent are blind or simply put away the whistle. And if the whistles are put away we may see another freight train running around in Kane and Freddy like Kassian against the Sharks many playoffs ago.
