These are the games wings fans should look to when asking "Should Yzerman be running this team?" I understand he can't shoot the puck or defend shots on goal, but he built this team. Don't give me that bs "empty cupboards" excuse… It's been 6 years, this is Stevie's team through and through, these are guys he signed, and drafted. For the entire season, aside from that hot January we had to keep tickets selling, this has been our MO: take 2+ goal lead, blow it in the 3rd/lose in OT. Frankly, if this is what Yzerman can make I want him gone, or demoted, as his drafting has been good so put him in scouting? But he does not have what it takes to bring this team to greatness again. And for those of you going to say "but but Tampa bay!" He walked in to a good situation and they were good despite him, not because of him. They won when he left, coincidence? Probably not…. Wake up, I get the nostalgia for "the captain", but look we've been edging the playoffs for 3 years now, something's gotta give. Prospects are not going to magically save us, if they ever come up… Yzerman has to make some moves, and not for washed up vets. Patience is running very thin in Hockeytown…..
Wings ugh, well, Toronto should enjoy that because I don't see them beating the Sens. Tkachuk is going to be a problem for guys like Matthews and Marner. Sens in 6. Leafs are playoff chokers.

I sound like a broken record but this team doesn't block shots, or get on there stomach to block passing lanes which Larkin didn't do on the first goal Toronto scored on the wings. There better be a mandate Yzerman (Like Scotty Bowman did for Yzerman) gives this off-season about sacrificing there bodies on the defensive side..

The point of commentary was because games weren't always on tv, they were on radio. So you could close your eyes and know what's going on. If you do that with today's commentary, you wouldn't have a clue what's going on until after a goal is scored. I can't even tell what end of the ice they're on when I do that. It's terrible.
I wish there was an option to shut off the commentary. I love hearing the arena but I'm not interested in listening to guys tell stories and make bad jokes instead of doing play by play.
I could not believe what I saw, in this game… especially with Phillippe Myers' goal- he looked like the next Bobby Orr, on that play! Also, nice to see Scott Laughton score the OT GWG.
