    I am a lifelong NFL fan, that has been watching almost all the hockey playoff games over the last 5 years. Learning a lil more every year about hockey and loving it. I am a Carolina fan, and I feel what has hurt has over the last 5-6 years is a lack of bruisers. Like we are fast, talented, and a very good team year in and year out, but I feel we get bullied come the 2nd and 3rd round by teams that aren't necessarily better, but more physical. Die hard NHL fans, am I right?

    The thing with Washington, Ovi is their best player and the team is shadowed by him. Hockey is a team sport, I dont think Washington would of made the playoffs if it wasnt for Ovechkin. Im thinking Montreal for this one haha

    I have the exact same bracket as you except I have the leafs beating TBL in the second round and making the final

    Without vilardi, ehlers the depth falls out. Even if helly plays lights out I still feel they fall short. I have Colorado winning it all the depth they have is crazy plus two of the best players in the world and a goalie upgrade plus they got their leadership boosted with Landy back. Have vets in Coyle and Nelson who want to make big impacts and then Necas whose been phenomal with mackinon I don’t see any team other than Colorado coming out of the west. Not to mention they have that experience of what it takes to win a championship.

    I haven't followed hockey in a while but i'm picking the Minnesota North Stars in 6 over the Hartford Whalers.

    I agree, up until the Kings/Jets. In their 3 game series this season, Kings won all 3 games. Kings scored 10 goals in those 3 games; Jets scored only 3 goals. Jets offense can’t penetrate Kings D and backchecking the way Kings can penetrate Jets D.

    I picked Washington over Dallas, a risky pick as they have to get past Colorado first, if they don't then I'd say Washington over Colorado.

    You have more faith in my Caps than I do. They have not been playing well of late in my opinion but we shall see.

    It’s so rare that a Presidents Trophy winner wins the Stanley cup. It’s only happened 8 times in the 39 years since the trophy was introduced. I don’t see it happening this year
