@Capitals de Washington

  1. This is the team we expect to win a cup so wtf you talking about we have nothinng to lose are the habs playing funzees ?This team will be trying VERY hard to win and if they can't it will prove we are further away than people thought still needing several more pieces.

  2. I say Just Play Hockey and Have Fun and A Little Prayer from Fans wouldn't Hurt, God Bless and Keep Them Healthy through Playoffs, Go Habs Go ❤

  3. Agree with Stu, missing / choking wouldve been detrimental to the process

  4. A little lucky in that they played Carolina's B Squad. Hey, we'll take it anyway.! Capitals are a bigger team. Habs will get pushed around in the playoffs. Anyway you never know, and as Nilan says crazy stuff happens in playoffs GO HABS GO

  5. I'll just point out the Habs record over the last ten games of the season was second best in the league. The only team with a better record over the last ten games was Toronto, and that only by a single point. The Habs got 16 of a possible 20 points in those ten games, so they weren't playing that badly.

    It's also worth noting they beat the Panthers every game they played them this season, and won 2 out of 3 against the Hurricanes. They have shown they can beat the top teams. I'm not saying they weren't inconsistent, but when they were on, they played on par with the best in the league.

    As noted by others, the experience they'll gain in these playoffs will be invaluable for those young players. Youngest team to ever make the playoffs, which is something too. I don't think they'll beat the Capitals, but we know they'll play them at least 4 times, and that will be great experience for next year.

  6. I doubt the Habs win a game. Zero pressure on the Habs, but the Caps are a complete team from top to bottom and during the regular season never played the Habs hard (did anyone, not many). Sam was terrible in his game vs the Caps, and Dobes won the 2nd game but was just okay. I want the Habs to win, I want to see OV on the sidelines (Putin Lover!), but unless that 2nd line contributes in all three zone, I doubt the Habs can win. Now, maybe, that Caps team was all OV this sns, and if you shut down OV, maybe the Caps shut down too. Maybe they have no playoff heart, then I can see Marty St. Louis' "wear them down" system just ruin every plan the Caps have…….Me? It's a poor way to play hockey, but that's what happens when you have one line that plays NHL hockey and three third lines.

    Armia, Dvorak, Savard and Pez will be walking 1 July, let's see how they perform. Miracles can happen in hockey…..would love to see a Jets/Habs final. That would drive the NHL crazy.

  7. I always love hearing from former NHL SC winning players. I can't imagine how these players are feeling, but this is an important step in their development. Having MSL as their coach and mentor is a huge asset as we know there will be big challenges ahead, but they have been defying the odds all year. Resiliency is key, but win or lose, it's been an exciting year, and I'm looking forward to the future with this team.

  8. I think a round or two of playoff calibre competition will elevate all of the young talent for next season. Missing the playoffs would have been missing out on an irreplaceable layer of experience to build on. Go Habs!

  9. It was an exciting year. Lots of great stories!! I am really hoping to see Arber in the series. Go Habs.

  10. I'll say this much it won't beat sweep this series and for some reason Montreal always have this magic no matter what team they have in the playoffs most of the time like in 1986 I was 17 at the time was so thrilled to watch my team win the cup over Calgary and thehabs had alot of rookies but played like veterans .I know one thing for sure montreal have the best hockey fans in the world. Go habs Go
