As a new hockey fan still searching for his team, it’s very frustrating that you keep consistently releasing new, well-made videos that make me care about each new NHL club they’re about.
12:52
Okay that’s not actually true. He played all 5 games in the ‘02 Finals.
the intro music to this gets me so hyped, could be an nhl tv theme for
sure
Oilers should have won in 06
Finally someone covering the canes!!!
Ben I think you should do a video about the 2004/2005 AHL season. I think it would make a great video
1:09 still my least favorite trade in Flyers history ever. Danny Markov? Really?!
Love how the title is a Kurt Angle reference
Another banger Ben. Thank you brother. Loved those old canes teams even though I'm a fellow pens fan
8:52 and Dwayne Roloson. Until he got hurt
As an Oilers fan I will forever hate this team, but good for Doug Weight.😏
Such a good series
Cole with that Kurt Angle vibe
You sir have made my day with a Dr. Steve Brule reference
Erik Cole was my favorite player growing up. I was 12 when he had his neck broken. I still boo Brooks Orpik to this day.
His name is forever on the greatest trophy in sports
nice new thumbnail
Great vid!
From the mid 2000s to earlyish/mid 2010s, there were two absolute Habs Killers in the league: Tomas Kaberle and Erik Cole.
Erik Cole one of my personal favorites from NHL 2004, i am also 99% sure that the next most hated for the Chicago Blackhawks will be Raffi Torres, i know im the Prometheus, nah im kidding im just a Hawks fan
Great video Ben! I vaguely knew about Cole through video games and fantasy hockey growing up. Then I went to Clarkson University for undergrad and now I am working in Oswego, NY (where cole went to school and grew up). This was great learning about his career and what could have been
Did Erik Cole not play in the 2002 Final? He was on that team
RIP. Josef Vasicek. The 2005-2006 Carolina hurricanes were the team that made me fall in love with hockey, and my favorite team of all time. Great video
I am once again asking for the SoundCloud link
it's true, it's damn true
The new thumbnails are going hard boss
If you asked me if I could win the Stanley Cup but it meant I could never walk again? My name would be forever imprinted on hockey's holy grail.
Great video once again, Ben.
It seems reckless, but I'd absolutely do what Cole did. If given the chance to fulfil a lifelong dream, I'd take it. Worked for Kurt Angle. Oh, it's true.
BRASS BONANZA INTENSIFIES
Never forget Ken Holland trading more of Wings future for Eric Cole to keep the playoff streak alive. Unfortunately, he didn’t pan out.
Holland really set the Wings back by years. He left with loads of bad contracts that had to be moved/bought out, very few drafts picks and aside from Larkin, no prospects.
This is why despite making some bad FA signings (Copp, Compher (Stevie wrongly believed they’d be 2C after outlier career yrs), Holl, etc, Stevie deserves more time. But any more of those signings and he deserves the hot seat.
best intro song on yt. paired with the clips it’s even more brilliant
Carolina by a large margin has the worst Ice in the league, their Ice Crew is completely bush league the pucks constantly bouncing around, literal pyramids of ice can be found 3 minutes onto the priod, either someones not freezing the puck right or theyre actually trying to ruin ice (a la Scotty Bowman vs Colorado Avalanche) with that being said what a pointless franchise.
