  1. If Vegas stays healthy then they’re through. Wild needs a wonder and luck to advance

  2. Life long Wild fan and I’m taking Vegas in 5 we came out flat against Calgary and it was a most win game we barely made the playoffs, almost lost to Vancouver in a most win then almost lost to Anaheim

  3. Minnesota fan; but cannot say the Wild take this. They staggered into the playoffs. A few too many injuries; and it seems the Wild are always a step slow. Vegas is just a bit too sharp.
The pipe dream would see Flower save the day !!!!!

  4. As a wild fan this year has been up and down too many injuries and Vegas has beat us all year if we make it to game 6 im happy

  5. I like the edge of the Wild…they have players who like the quest. Injuries derailed the momentum. So interested to see and hoping it’s a long series.

  6. MN was #1 in points in early Dec, but more imprortantly #1 in THG's power rankings! Then the injuries started to pile up. When healthy, the lineup can be good enough to compete with the best, but with the cap restrictions they just have no depth and it showed the last half of the season. Now they have everyone back, BUT are they truely healthy, that remains to be seen. Ek seems to be 100%, Kaprizov is back, but is he 100%? I'm hoping they can find their early season mojo and make it a series!

  7. The regular season stats are what they are, but you said it yourself: “Vegas is not as physical as they once were”—-this is the playoffs.

  8. Obviously the Vegas Golden Knights should be favored to win this series, as a Wild fan I understand it. But there is 1 player who potentially could be an X factor, he was just signed after playing with Denver University. Zeev Buium the Wild's 2024 first round draft pick, he's on the playoff roster, replacing Jon Merrill. Coach John Hyness is going to give the rookie a chance, what a way to begin your NHL career!? Wild! May the force be with you!

  9. Since Pittsburgh, Rangers, Boston, Calgary and Vancouver all failed to make the playoffs, Vegas is the only blemish on the radar. For years I have refused to forgive Minnesota for signing Matt Cooke, but maybe just this once I'll make an exception, and root for them to win so Vegas is out.

  10. I'm a MN fan and I'm PREDICTING Vegas in 6. Minnesota is pretty weak on the third line and defense but we are more physical. If the Wild can slow the game down and be more physical, then they'll have a slightly better chance, but I'd put Vegas at 80% likely to win this.

  11. I have a strong opinion that this series depends on how game 1 goes, if Minnesota can steal one in Vegas, it will give them momentum and this series could go the distance. But if Vegas rolls in game 1 this will be done in 5

  12. My Wild can do it. They can be stunning in the O-Zone. Playoff hockey is different than reg season. Let’s see how stunning they are in the playoffs this time. As THG always says, “we will see”.

  13. Would be a miracle for wild to make it through, but there's a less than zero chance they start clicking like the beginning of the year and buium only makes that better. If Vegas doesn't come out just demolishing the wild and gives them a chance to figure some shit out now that they're healthy we could have an incredible series and wild have a true shot

  14. I just hope my Wild can break the ice/ the curse and get past the first round. I will call that a win

  15. My input, has Vegas met this Wild team? check previous meetings, check who was out and check Wild's schedule when they met… but the stats are in Vegas' favor… but it could be close!

  16. As a Wild fan, I hate to be down on my team, but I just don’t see them pulling this off. The Wild, while now healthy, are not a consistent team and struggled(often with non-playoff teams) down the stretch leading into the playoffs. I’m hoping the Wild pull it off, but my intuition says Knights in 5.

  17. Originally from Minnesota and now live in Vegas!! This is going to be a stressful series!!

  18. All 3 losses the Wild had against Vegas during the regular season were second of back to back games. Just a little stat hardly anyone mentions……fyi That 5-1 game in March…..no Ek….no Kaprizov…..no Foligno….and Gus wasn't in net. I'm hoping this little break before tomorrow's game can give some energy to Rossi (who's been playing through something) and Boldy and Zuccy's games…..because they've been playing so much in Ek and Kirill's absence. I love being the Underdog though!

  19. This one is very simple. Vegas in five games. Not that they’ll need the help, but the league front office will ensure they move on.

  20. so the game tuesday is the only one I dont have to get up at 6am central time and work 12hrs the next day. great.

  21. Thank you for being objective. I am a Minnesota fan. I disagree that Minnesota has no shot. You analyze teams well and have pegged Minnesota to what the team has shown. I appreciate you analyzing team to ever aspect of the team

  22. With jiracek buium wally and yurov coming in mn is going to be really good if they get rid of brazaeu trenin merril Hartman and bogosian

  23. Just look at how many points were put up with Eichel out of the line up. VGK has depth. Our Achilles heel this season will be in net. If hill is on point look out. Go Knights Go!

  24. I got the Wild in 7, I am probably the only one who sees it this way but I think they have a better roster and I think there was a reason they were number 1 in the NHL in 2024

  25. For some reason the nhl felt compelled to do a triple header on a Tuesday… that’s why it is an 11 et game. Crazy, never heard of that

  26. A lot of folks are saying 5 for Vegas, I'm saying 7 and it could go either way. I think it will be much more competitive than folks are thinking…

  27. I wish I could disagree with the predicted result but the Wild just haven't shown me enough recently to convince me they'll put up a fight. Halfway through the year they were one of the top 3-5 teams in the league, but the injuries piled up and even the players that came back don't look as potent as they did early in the season (with the exception of JEE). Also Vegas is just stacked up and down the lineup. If Buium is the absolute best version of the player we project him to be (Hughes archetype), he'll give them a dynamic dman to quarterback the offense. But, can't expect a completely green rookie to make that much of an impact that soon. And unless the rest of the team finds that spark they had earlier this year, they're probably one of the first teams out. Hope they prove me wrong and at least put up a fight. Game 3 will tell if this team cares or has already given up.

  28. We've had major injuries and were on the second game of back to backs every time we played vegas this year so the regular season series doesn't mean much.
