Had family over and Couldn’t bring myself to even talk about that game. Anyone hear anything about the injuries?
1st period we need to score a goal at some point. Seems like qe can hardly ever score in 1st periods. When puck drops be ready to play. Not 35 minutes later or even later

Home teams dominant thus far. Colorado won exception bit Dallas is all out of sorts and missing top scorer. But otherwise. Home ice bump showing in game 1s so far
I'll start off with this. I'm 100% behind this team and hope they can get back into this. But I need to vent this:
Post game was worse than the game for me. It sounded like they knew Canes were just going to roll them over and maybe they could have got some lucky shots in. They looked tired and disinterested in hockey. I saw nothing the entire day that showed me hope. Even the goal was exhausting. But im more concerned there is no plan for the rest of the series. Nothing. Seen alot of hockey. This sounds like a defeated team up and down and we just started. Can't even motivate the group anymore because they don't respond. They expect failure like it's inevitable which points to the "loser mentality" you spoke of. If they whimp out this series, it's going to be a dark offseason. And, like this series, it should be expected to go very badly.
I hate rants, but hate where this team/management/fan base is mentality more. Moving on to game 2. It needs to be drastically different.
Another thing is pending something unforseen with numbers which for someone like fitz is unthinkable .We are stuck with fitz and this ownership group. Clueless group
Ownership has 1 main concern at this moment and that n3gotiating to get a palace built in Washington DC for jayden daniels
Devs haven't had an answer for Carolina's game play for at least the last three seasons. Devils better come up with something, or it will be a quick exit….
Disgraceful how bad we looked in relation to an ottawa team with no playoff experience they were really bad undisciplined in their game vs leafs but they pushed back at least got shots on stolarz more than we can say for ourselves..
If im.Devils I'm driving to the net as much as I can. Getting traffic and pucks on Freddy. If it just dump to neutral zone gives no momentum and can spin back easily other way on a bounce. It's playing like we know we have no chance. That's disrespectful and guys need to take it personally
Game 2 is virtually must win. If we lose. How can anyone reasonably expect this group to beat canes 4 of 5..what type of effort pride do we come out with and execute

Have to have belief for game 2. But this team.makes it very hard to have any confidence when we have so many no shows and games where we are flat out shutout. And I'm talking about against teams like sharks amd isles. . Please boys show us you belong 🙏
I would also have massage therapists at th3 ready before games for this team as well as extra coffee beacuse we just don't score in 1st period. It's not time for bed guys. Very irritating
We need to be loose not stiff amd be awake particularly since we certainly get alot of day games with us not being a prime team nationally..
Sick and tired of getting punched around by canes. I have a ton of friends family and raleigh and they always are taking jabs at me. For once I want to be able to jab back with you see that..
As a diehard im gonna keep believing and going to as many games as i can but need to see a turn with this teamso many questions every night seems like. We need to get to a point where we feel like we have a rreasonable chance each and every night and that's something thay hasnt been here in far too long
I went to games in st louis minnesota seattle columbus this year just to name a few and we won those all. We certainly can compete with anyone. Its just way too inconsistent.
Devils played a dirty game

I get there are several different players on the team now, but most have playoff experience…you'd think this team would have learned from the beginning of the rangers series 2 years ago that the intensity NEEDS to be brought each and every playoff game no ifs, ands or buts. They've got to get mean and even a little dirty, I mean carolina is and will be, have to match. Still holding out hope they turn things around and surprise us but as you say here, it just doesn't look good, and injuries piling up.
We need a course correction fast.
New Jersey was already cooked going into the playoffs, but after today’s game and the additional injuries, they are well done now.
Games like this infuriate me even more that we couldnt get a zetterlund mcann donato anyone who could have helped generate offense with our top player out. Its embarassing and shameful we have to be captives to this ownership and their yes man fitz..
How are the Devils going to win with the injuries piling up.Who is going to step up in Game 2
I mean we dont even bring in our guys to help. Gritsyuk a new face we have seen other teams do this . But we rest on our laurels.. not saying by any means a daving grace but amazing the quality of some of these decisions.. and we absolutely will have fitz next year as well. So can only hope we play well enough or competitively in spite of that man..like we did at times this year
I absolutely despise the canes this team pisses me off every time i even see the logo. If we can give it back to them man how sweet would it be…

Looks like alot of road squads have their work cut out right now Playoffs home ice ramps up even more as advantage But certainly wins are there to be had..far from iron clad. But reality is all the teams that have lost game 1s so far frankly all underdogs and all have lost. What is the responses in game 2s
Wondering who kept the hit count, we didn't have 52, fly bys all night long it was pathetic, & no they didn't have energy. Our energy compared to Carolina was like we took nyquil. Unacceptable & by far the worst/least excited playoff game so far.
What’s with all the hate for Carolina? They are a solid, tenacious forechecking team. It’s not like they have Tom Wilson on their team.
I don't even think having jack Hughes makes much of a difference. Even with leading in hits the team looked soft and like they didn't belong. It looked like a ahl team having their welcome to the NHL moment. The forward group outside of the core 4 is just not cutting it. Theres zero production from anyone

Anybody who says we're done after losing by 2 goals and an empty netter is only a fair weather friend. We've come this far, now let's play DEVILS HOCKEY! even if we do go down again it still isn't over! We can win 4 just like they can win 3! Get in there and play like you mean it like as if we were in the playoffs against the devils themselves. We got this! Oh yea- God bless the pope!
