  1. His wife lost a child before it was delivered. You all have very short memories. Hockey players don't. Wake up.

  2. So proud of this years team
They all seemed to stick together and grind for pucks and at the end of the season they played to win with all their hearts! Took the 1st place team in our division to overtime! Thanks for a great season boys!!!

  3. I hope Larkin speaks better to the team behind the scenes. These types of interviews are brutal and does not sound like captain material, leadership material at all.

  4. Listening to Larkin talk depresses me to tears.
He needs to play hockey 🏒 and not worry about leading the team. Give that "C" to someone else. KANE, for example. He's a better team player and has really good captaincy skills.

  5. At the end of the day Larkin cares deeply and wants to win. Yzerman really should have paid the price to bring in help at the deadline especially this season losing Copp. You could tell it had an effect on the room when the reinforcements were only Mrazek and Smith.

  6. Dylan is a great Captain and Leader. "HEART" is what I think of with him. Don't give up ! Great times coming !

  7. Looking for a spark at the trade deadline?! Buddy have some confidence in yourself, it’s like priority #1 on the leadership totem pole. As a fan, the deadline was disappointing, but you got a new coach this year, didn’t deal with a ton of injury issues this year throughout the lineup, and you want a spark from the outside? Yikes

  8. Unfortunately you can tell he’s tired of this, I hope we can make some moves for the team that make a difference this offseason.

To be blunt if we can’t pull it off again, we should give him the respect of sending him to a contender. He deserves to win a cup.

  9. I think it's clear from Larkin and what Todd has said that there are quite a few passengers in this locker room. Yzerman's free agency has been kind of a minor disaster the last couple years. Drafting looks good, but he has to get some FA's the perform above average.

  10. When will Yzerman answer for the failure of this season???? Get him in front of a camera so we can hear him tell us how hard trades are to make and how every team except for us can make deals and get good contracts out of free agents and draft players with high skill and talent

  11. Can't believe he actually complained about no acquisitions at the deadline. I really don't think they will ever win a cup with this guy as captain, they can't even make he playoffs, fall apart every year

  12. It's been a rough go for him. And while I'm not being callous to his lost child, there is something to be said about playoffs being something that could keep him busy mentally. As well as him being in the league for 10 years now. I imagine there's a lot weighing on the guy that's a combination of both at home and work. Hoping the bottom half of the lineup gets more work, promotions, etc, because this isn't a bad team, just isn't fleshed out enough as a whole.

  13. Time to ship Larkin. Sorry to say it, but 9 years, no playoffs, lack of production towards the end of the year. He needs to go, rely on your youth. Might as well get something for him.

  14. How can you win when your captain is more whiny than a premenstrual 14 yr old girl. Toughen up, buttercup.

  15. Incredibly honest assessment of the team's inactivity by the trade deadline @ 5:00 . I've questioned Larkin's leadership before but he really nailed it there. Yzerman really dropped the ball at the deadline and sent a message that next season matters more than this season.

  16. This guys been busting his ass for this team for years with not alot of good results. He cannot do it every game and every night…nobody can. He also takes a bunch of cheap shots and nobody steps in. Keep Watson up next year. Cat dropping the gloves with a much bigger guy shouldn’t be happening either.

  17. It’s really sad that we have to have our players call out our GM. It shouldn’t even have to come to that but Larkin and patty were 100% right in everything they said. We need some big changes here

  18. If I were Larkin I'd be asking for a trade. Yzerman has done nothing to help Detroit and he is 28. Leave the dumpster fire formerly known as hockey town and go win a cup with a team that actually knows what they're doing

  19. I’m not a Dylan hater but every time I hear this dude talk it’s depressing as hell. Is he really this monotone and boring all the time? I’d have a hard time following this dude

  20. Wings need to make the playoffs next year. So many young core players that hopefully improve over the offseason

  21. He wants out. You can hear it in his voice. He doesn't believe the wings and the "plan" is going to work.

  22. Just for fun, let's compare two team captains
One is captain of a team that was the worst the league 3 short seasons ago.
They were out of the playoffs and his team looked like sellers for the deadline. That captain went to the GM and told him they could win they believed in themselves and wanted management to support them. He won his argument then shouldered his club. They took off played with guts and heart to make the playoffs.
The other captain's club squandered their playoff position lost the month of March he went dry, not scoring for nine games when they needed him most. Now he sets in his presser looking like a little child whining his GM didn't rescue his team with some magical star to lead them.
    That's the difference, folks

  23. the D Boss experiment needs to be reexamined, we can’t have our top paid player disappearing for month long stretches multiple times over a season.

  24. Good for you Larkin, about time someone put Yzerman on blast… But damn, the rest of you need to play some defense.

  25. Don't stop believing! You're so close to maki g the playoffs. I believe it will happen in 2026. Wings all the way!

  26. Man he just seems emotionally exhausted. Larks has been coming off as emotionally fatigued for a couple years now. I am questioning his leadership because of his attitude at this point. Maybe a guy like Seider would be better.

  27. Larks need some classes in leadership. Too depressing to hear him talk. I hear more leadership tone and confidence out of Kaner, Mo and Raymond

  28. The "shot" should have been towards the owner of the team only. Both for the summer and trade deadline.

  29. I mean, Larkin/Raymond dropped the ball since the 4 nations.

If you blame your GM for not making moves, I guess it might be right your GM didn’t make those moves.

Saying these things in front of the camera is not a good look for a captain, Mr Captain!

You were not in a playoffs spot by deadline and you think making a trade for the sake of trades would make a difference? One of the trades on the table was Kasper for Cozens – and we should be happy Yzerman didn’t do it.

You are not lebron or mcdavid, you don’t tell gm what to do

  30. That's funny because all of the pathetic Yzerman fanboys kept saying that anyone who wanted Steve to make a move at the deadline didnt know hockey. I guess they must also think Larking doesnt know hockey either then.

  31. Buddy, why don’t you score 90 points in a season before complaining about what moves get made and don’t get made.
Top 3 picks and difference makers win cups. Tank or Finals. No one wants to see the team get swept in the playoffs and draft in the middle of nowhere first round, this is Hockeytown. If it doesn’t fit your timeline then waive your NTC and ask for a trade
