the only way it makes sense for the devils to trade for quinn if we arent losing anything substantial, which lets be honest isnt going to happen vancouver would never trade him for nothing substantial. that being said i would offer nemec and a pick or so to get quinn but there is no reason to needless spend assets especially when the offseason focus needs to be dialed in more towards the forward group instead of the defense, in the form of a top 6 winger and a revamped bottom 6… its stupid to pay a lot for quinn at this point. vancouver would be better off trading quinn to a team thats not the devils.

If it's going to happen, this is the way it will go down, for sure. Vancouver doesn't have the assets to lure away Jack and Luke, so Quinn would have to come to NJ to make that dream come true.

With Fitzgerald at the helm, a scenario where all three are united in Vancouver, isn’t as far-fetched as it sounds. If anything highlights the importance of figuring this team out, it’s this exact thing. Jack, and Luke want to WIN. If the sh*t show continues on for another two years, they won’t feel inspired to hang around under a GM who isn’t committed to winning. Just listen to Dylan Larkin’s end-of-season comments about their GM, doing NOTHING to help the team.

I can see Jack and Luke wanting out of Jersey and all three playing in Vancouver. I can't see all three playing in Jersey. Why? One ownership wants to win and one doesn't. And the players involved know it.

The Hughs better change the way they play period! QH is only 25 but he's already had 3 significant lower body injuries. Why wouldn't we trade for him? Overload it with picks we don't need, help Rutherford salvage his job, but obviously trade from strength (so, no trading NHL-ready players). Plus, not being forced to sign Quinn for $12+ million would be nice. Maybe he's so happy he signs for less. There are a number of advantages to trading for him, most importantly: 2 more years of QH.
I said the last 3 yrs Quinn gonna be a devil. We can trade for him now, and Vancouver will have to accept or they can wait and get nothing for him. Vancouver has zero leverage.
2 years from now, isn’t that when Nico’s time is up? I can see the Devils losing Nico to make room for Quinn, because that’s maybe the only way you pacify the fanbase. Otherwise not sure how you pay everyone, albeit Jacks deal aging well. Actually, I do- it’s a bottom 6 of Dowlings

Just get it done early in the offseason. Mercer ( he’s not the player we need, Van gets a forward they desperately need.) Nemec (. The organization is not in the best terms with him time to move him while he still has value) Dougie. They need a veteran D back. Their right side world be Dougie, Myers, Nemec not bad at all!.. and do whatever draft picks needed not a lot as he said he wants to come to NJ. All 3 would be nasty AF…. Luke too Jack to Quin at the point slap shot goal would be honestly beautiful
Hopefully, they will end up in Detroit in a couple of years. That's where they want to be.
