Wings not dealing Kasper. Glad Stevie didn't make that trade
Kasper can play C or W, on line 1 or line 4 and will fit in any of those spots. He is a smart player with a high motor. He just turned 21 and produced points at the same rate as Michkov and Celebrini since Detroit changed coaches.
Hands off Buff.
We don’t want to make this a ten year miss 😂
Kasper will be the better rounded player over time. Much too valuable to give up. Especially after the string finish to the season
I know that it annoyed me at the trade deadline but I also agreed. Kasper's not going anywhere and I see him as a 30+ goal scorer in the next season or so. The problem in Detroit is that I forget that half of the players are still on the team and I watch every game. The lower two-thirds of the roster are useless and really untradeable as well. An impact player, and Cozens isn't one, wasn't available and any move would have weakened the team next season. What we can hope for is that in the off season many of these guys don't come back. How? I don't know. Let Stevie work his magic and surprise us all…… hopefully.
Glad they kep Kasper and passed on Cozens. Now call up Buffalo and get Bowen Byram from them.
Kasper has some of the best underlying numbers in the NHL, not just as a rookie. His defensive metrics are incredible and he's shown what he has in store in terms of offense. Centering Kane and Debrincat was really impressive to watch. You could see his playmaking improve in real time, his faceoffs were good and he is incredible along the boards.
If he keeps this upward trajectory going until his mid twenties, he's going to be worth a hell of a lot more. Good thing is Detroit would never trade him, unless it's a deal you can't say no to.
I’m not happy with Yzerman, but this was a good no trade
Norris is better. But hurt too often. Sad tale.
Some are now comparing Marco Kasper to Nico Hirscher.
Kasper was a late riser on the draft board a month before in the 2022 draft.
It was rumored BUF hoped Detroit would pass on Kasper, BUF selected Matthew Savoie.
Rumor had it in 2022 that the Sabres wanted to draft Kasper but the Wings got him one pick ahead of them. Kasper is going to be more valuable down the line than Cozens or Norris
The thing most people don’t realize is that Kasper was being played in the bottom 6 for the first 34 games of the season until McClellan took over and put him with Larkin and Raymond. From the time Kasper was moved up to the top 6 he scored 17 goals and 32 points in 48 games.
Kasper is a keeper. He's a good versatile two-way player. It seems like he wins 75 80 of his puck battles, smart player.
Spoiler: Kasper is a future all-star longtime Wing :..
Norris is trash…
I wish the Sabres just kept Cozens
What in the world are they thinking kasper is a keeper if anything the Wings should be looking for a goal tender
Yzerclown must have had his cat tell him "no." He certainly was not smart enough to do that on his own.
BIG HELL NO!!!
Kasper stays, he will be 1st line with Raymond and whoever we pick up this offseason. 1C Bennett?
Kinda reminds me of a Bergeron kinda player
I'll repeat myself if you think Steve Yzerman should be fired you are special & don't understand hockey.. Axel Sandin-Pelikka, William Wallinder, Shai Buium Aton Johansson, Michael Nygard, Carter Mazur, Theodor Niecerbach, Trey Augustine Sabastion Cossa, Kasper, Seider Raymond ect to name some of the amazing talent Yzerman has drafted that will be regulars & the cause of a new Red Wings dynasty.
Kasper had noticeably improved month to month this season. He will be better than Cousins next year. I wanted cousins bad, but didn’t want them to get rid of Kasper or their guys on the griffins which means I knew it wouldn’t have been possible. It was a huge pick up for Ottawa. Cousins is younger on a cheap long term contract than Norris. Buffalos organization is a joke
Kasper will be better than Couzins in 2 years. Would have been a terrible trade
Let us never forget how Yzerman gave away Jake walman for nothing and San Jose got a first round pick for walman.
Sometimes the best trades are the trades you never make.
We all knew this months ago when everyone was clamoring for cozens and Steve said I’m not making trades just to make them and that the asking price was far to high
What is this crap video? Too lazy or not skilled enough to make an actual video while you prattle on?!?
Cozens has been pretty good so far the Sens
Kasper did all of his scoring after lalonde was fired. You give kasper a full season with mclellan he scores 25-30
Your pronunciation of Dennis Gilbert is insane 😂😂😂
I'm glad we didn't trade him, I was pumped when we drafted him and he has not disappointed
Kasper is one of the few bright spots for Detroit this past season. He's smart, wants to learn, and he's got some snarl. We couldn't be happier he wasn't traded. Great rookie season.
I'm happy with Norris. Norris on the top line with tage and Benson can get 40 goals. Kasper is gonna be good but we have a lot of young players that have potential we need starters now
Kasper has a higher ceiling. I really wanted to see him get 20. As a rookie I couldn't be more pleased.
If buffalo got that trade, and anyone in detroit is ok with that… Thats why your not the GM and Stevie is. I would have asked for peterka and cozens
I like the attempt at kasper as a Sabres fan. I think kasper is a better option than Norris but the sabres dont need more players who are just coming nnto the league. We need experience. Norris is a better option than cozens in Buffalo because cozens had given up on that organization.
WTH cares !!!
