chucky is a garbage player, always has been. Very talented, but like a few others in the league, he does garbage like this way too often.

Interference penalty? Absolutely. Cheap shot? Debatable. Intent to injure? Absolutely not. He makes contact with his shoulder to Guenztel's chest. He could have easily used his shoulder to head, elbow to head, etc. To get his chest with the shoulder he used, he had to skate in front of him and turn. In fact, had he not done that, it might have ended up worse off for Guenztel. I'm not saying it wasn't a stupid hit – in the NHL that was ages after the puck left the stick and it was definitely a penalty. This gets the spotlight because of terrible incidents in the past, which is understandable. Worth a suspension? Fk if I know. Depends on what measuring stick the NHL will use this time.
Honestly, clean. Puck is off his stick for what, 1 second? Contact is not dirty, Guentzal just busy looking at his pretty pass.

All the comments calling for Tkachuks suspension need to go watch golf and turn off hockey. Neither hits were to the head, they were a touch late if anything. It's absurdly late. What accentuates the lateness is the fact that Tkachuk observed the puck was gone and then began to accelerate from zero into making a hit. It wasn't like "oh I can't stop".
Tkachuk should be suspended for that.

NHL fans are pansies. Everyone crying over a clean hit. Guentzel got caught gawking at his pass. Tkachuk was in the act of stopping when he hit him. Never even took a stride to close distance. He simply finished the check, as players do a thousand times a game. The game is so soft I can't even watch regular season games anymore. Just check the highlights during the playoffs. Fans want shinny hockey not NHL hockey.
