  1. Well its really bad when a GM says he has no idea what to do. Ive been in management and that means he needs to go. That is horrible answers again. Time for him to step away

  2. I truly believe Steve and Todd are the right guys for this organization and have a lot of confidence in them to turn this thing around

  3. I’m going to share a position that’s probably not going to be very popular here. Steve’s position about STL and MTL making the playoffs without doing anything is pure obfuscation. It doesn’t hold water, because those 2 rosters didn’t get ‘worse’ this year over last season, whereas Detroit definitely did get worse. A ton of point production walked out Detroit’s door after last season, and we replaced almost none of it. Just add up the goals scored by last years roster, and compare those who left (regardless of the reason) with the roster we went with into this season. You’ll see right there just why we scored 40 less goals vs last season. Our D also was not improved at all by adding Gus. I love Stevie…but man…you can’t ignore the roster and the data.

  4. My hope is Kane can stay, but however that falls its the right fit that matters if we decide to spend bigger in the offseason. Things take time, we go from playing up too, to playing down and so if the improvement continues the good players will want to be here

  5. I don't recall ever hearing Yzerman so defensive on the onset of a media conference. He obviously is feeling the heat at this point in his tenure as general manager – and deservedly so. Fans are frustrated as I'm sure he is as well.

  6. Still in denial. Only way out of this is to move some players. We have no depth. We have no toughness.

  7. At least Yzerman talked about being willing to spend money, trade assets, and be tougher to play against 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. Larkin airing the dressing room dirty laundry to the media is indicative of his leadership. This is was a very bad look and he should keep his crybaby mouth shut.

  9. Montral and St Louis leave the kids play mistakes and all. That is how you learn. Detroit keeps them in the minors scared they will make mistakes shattering their confidence.

  10. When the questions were asked about the morale and Larkin's remarks I love what McClellen said about the players that were on team were good enough they just let games slip away and Yzerman echoed it by saying the top guys on the team are paid to lead. Captain Cupcake needs to grow a pair or leave

  11. Well Steve, if you want harder players klim was sent packing two years ago, then you got watson and shine in GR who granted may not be big caliber offense they share do make a mess out there for the opposing players. you can't setup plays if you're worried about being carried through the boards. Elmer, eddy and marco being more physical would be a huge boon to this org

  12. Man. Some of these journalists don't even know Red Wings history. I survived the Dead Wings era and watched the 14 year build it took for SY to win his first cup at 32. All you instant gratification junkies need to check history. Even the Lightning took 10 years and they had superstars.
