Time to part ways with hellebuyck. Why not start Eric Comrie for 1 game? What’s to lose?
He gets one more shot. If he gets blown out he’s done in the playoffs and as a Jet. No point keeping him around if he can’t win in the playoffs.
He would be best suited for a team trying to get back to the playoffs. Aka Red Wings, Flyers etc…
The team will also need a retooling. Some leadership players are just not stepping up.
Hellebuyck may win the vezna and MVp, but Binnington is the better goalie. He proved it in the 4 nations and is proving it again. Vezina is regular season. Binnington is playoffs.
Hellofachoker can't stop a puck if their lives depend on it. To answer the question, No, I have no confidence in this team as a whole at all. Seen this crap 1 too many times. This series is over, blues in 6. Honestly, I'd rather see comrie in the net. But then again. I ain't watching this anymore. I've seen it all before.

100% right Kev, in the playoffs everyone one the team has to be willing to run through a wall to win, only one team is doing that. Too many fly-bys and swinging sticks at pucks, by the Jets, instead of making the hit. That pressure and physicality creates mistakes from your opponent. There’s no ferocity from Winnipeg, the playoffs are a war of attrition and St. Louis has been winning the battles.

In my opinion, the worst part about watching the Jets on TV is having too listen to Kevin Sawyer talk, talk, talk all the time. Yikes
People who watched the blues consistently this season aren’t surprised by their performance. Even when they were losing, there were hints. Montgomery finally put it together.
There should be a Vezina-type award given to the best goaltender in the playoffs.
Jets are bending over backward to make excuses for Hellebuyck who seems to have a fragile ego which cracks in playoffs. At this point the Jets are desperate enough to change goalies unlike last year where they stuck with Hellebuyck and lost. Looks like deja vu in 2025. Humiliation beckons.

The proof is in the performance. Hellybuyck had shown that he can’t perform in the Playoffs for whatever reason. I have little confidence that he will turn this around.
Hellebuyck backed the team to the 3rd round in 2018. I'm not sure what's going on for him at the moment, but you can't say he is not a playoff goalie despite the past two games and the series against Colorado. He has been a playoff goalie and he can be again. His SV% for his first 4 playoff appearances: 9.22, 9.13, 9.04, 9.31. Over that period, Binnington's SV% was significantly lower, even in the year the Blues won the cup.
