There’s 1000 combination and each teams in the lottery needs to draw a unique set of 4 numbers ranging from 1 to 14 for them to win. The Sharks being ranked last this season had the most possible amount of combinations while the Flames the least amount of combinations. It just happened that 7-11-12-13 was the Islanders’s combination thus they won the lottery
