Revoir Kings vs Oilers Game Six

Les Kings devaient en gagner un sur la route, ce qui a été un problème pour eux parfois cette saison. 1. As a leafs fan it feels good to not be the most chokey team anymore. I am sure we probably still be the butt of the joke but Minnesota and La should be the new chokers.
Great come back by Edmonton I’m blown away honestly. Outscoring there goalie problems. Incredible

  2. This series could have easily been done in 5. Game 1 was a mediocre Oilers team and they lost on a knuckle puck fluke. Kings were a little too cocky after 2 wins. Especially against an experienced team like Edmonton.

  3. I think Kings fans should try being humble in the future. The relentless taunting of Skinner kind of backfired because the Oilers decided “hey, they’re taunting our goalie and he’s under performing. Let’s try our other goalie” who ended the series LOL

  4. It’s actually the 2nd time a team has lost 4 straight series against another team. The 80s Bruins lost 4 straight against the Habs.

  5. Man, the LA Kings are the Buffalo Bills or the Phoenix Suns all of those years they lost to San Antonio

  6. I get it, its a sad thing, that you cant use your magnets this season any more. As an Oiler fan I regret it deeply

  7. I believe this series illustrates the importance of having good coaching. Hiller really screwed the pooch with that challenge and not rolling 4 lines. Then he fails to call a necessary time out, fails to take out Byfield for Danault. Time for a better coach.

  8. Refs cant make a call they missed? Then why did they huddle back up and almost call the penalty Gabrikov drew?

  9. I think it was unfair to talk about the missed crosscheck to the throat and not talk about the Kings player that bulldozed Pickard on his own accord and was not penalized.

  10. the kings had a hell of a season and great defense, just couldn't recover from the oilers surge

  11. Looks like the first period of game 5 was the only one in which no goals were scored in the whole series.

  12. Shannon, you are 100% correct in saying after game 2 this is going to be the King's year they beat the Oilers. I have never seen a more determined team than the Oilers in the past couple of weeks. Good for them what a series.

  13. Not often I see a really weak coach in post season..but LA management delivered. The Oilers are exciting and all the best to them!

  14. I still think the absurd officiating is what won Edmonton this series, and they wont get that luxury against Vegas.

  15. Kempe would fit along nicely on a line with Connor or Leon. Food for thought

  16. Terrible collapse by the Kings. After winning the first two games they just couldn’t win another one. Edmonton owns LA. Just like the Panthers own TBL. Let’s see what happens in the second round. Avalanche/Stars series is interesting. Game 7!

  17. Minus a re-direction with 54sec left, Edmonton crushed Los Angeles in a closeout game from 16:22 min remaining in 1st period (after LA scored to make it 2-1) to 1:10 left in the 3rd period; outscoring LA 4-1 with each team netting 22 shots on net.

  18. As Rangers fan this pains me to admit, but during their dynasty the Islanders eliminated us 4 years in a row from '81-'84. But I can't recall any teams in any of the major sports having a similar outcome in the playoffs after consecutive years

  19. I hope when the Kings break this curse against Edmonton that we get another legendary call like when Vancouver beat Chicago in 2011

  20. The Oilers beat the Kings because with 50 seconds left in game 4, Byfield decided to try and skate the puck out instead of shooting for the empty net or just chipping the puck past the blue line. This failed, resulting in the Oilers tying the game and sending it into overtime. If Byfield had shot or chipped the puck past the blue line, the series would have been 3 to 1 Kings going back to LA.

  21. This is why i never hopped on the Kings bandwagon, they are just too slow to skate with teams like Edmonton, Colorado, Dallas etc. At some point in a series the dam breaks and they get ran over. To be true contenders they need to get faster and they need elite top end talent, until then they will stay in that no mans land

  22. The Kings are a really great team, and I believe they could beat almost any team in western, but the truth is, after last years playoff run, the Oilers put everything on the line to get to game 7 of the Finals. Their big two have been waiting for this moment since. They will not be denied. The whole team is ready to go as hard as necessary when it is necessary. Mark my words, they will raise the cup

  23. Magnets explanation… 😅 The whole world basically made me do it and you knew I would in advance…

  24. Appreciate the recaps. As a long time Kings fan, it was a tough loss given the results of the 1st 2 games, but the Oilers were the better team the rest of the series and deserved to win.

  25. Even the Canadiens never beat the Bruins 4 straight playoff series.
    Right?
