  1. I really like Hiller as a person, but he’s preached accountability all season, it sucks that he’s not practicing what he preached.

  2. Iknow Kings fans are still incensed about how the post season went for us. However i want to remind all Kings fans what an amazing regular season we had, all things considered. Especially when non of us really thought this team would do much this year anyways. Most had written us off even being able to make the playoffs. Jim Hill did a phenomenal job regular season, make some creative moves and decisions that boded well for out team. However he was completely out coached this series. kris knoblauch drew on past playoff experiences and was able to completely turn the tables. Hiller does not have that experience. He screwed the pooch. But he deserves another shot to write these wrongs and develop more of his skillsets to coach in a high stakes series.

  3. I too really like Jim Hiller as a person. And had so much faith and confidence in him until he tried that shuffling only three lines and even making that coaches challenge definitely changed the tone of the series.

  4. He knows his time is coming to an end… Unbelievable how reluctant he is to admit he blew it!

  5. To our new GM: Please fire this 🤡 of a coach who takes 0 accountability for his OWN actions. We don’t want/need this for any longer please and thanks. GKG!

  6. He says the players “trusted in one another.” He too should’ve trusted them, specifically the fourth line, instead of handcuffing them to the bench.

  7. I can't wait for this absolute imbecile brain-dead coach to be gone. Then the celebration will begin.

  8. 😮Damn these reporters went hard on him!! Honestly he’s a rookie coach. He had an awesome regular season. I hope they give him an honest shot next season. Take it easy on the guy 😂

  9. I agree. Even though I was screaming until my voice went out after Game 3's "Coaches challenge" that now lives in infamy, all the way through Game 6 to "FIRE HILLER!!!" it's hard not to feel bad for him and even Rob Blake. These are humans who care a lot about this organization. ESPECIALLY Rob Blake. They care arguably more than even the self-proclaimed most DIEHARD FANS among us. This is their livelihoods. When I get upset, I can tune out. They have to stew in it. And as a person, I was very excited last summer when they announced we hired Hiller. He made some-boneheaded decisions in the playoffs, and even some of his ideas in the season made me scratch my head at the time, but come on — the record speaks for itself. If you stop and think this rationally, it's honestly pretty insane that there's even a serious conversation happening around the matter, and honestly a pretty high likelihood that he could be OUT as coach after the season he just delivered.

Personally, my ONLY — but it's a BIG ONE — gripe is his not taking accountability for things that went wrong by acknowledging they were the wrong call/moves. I could forgive that. Easily. If someone says, 'Yeah, that thing I did was dumb. I really goof'd that one. There's no way I would do that again" I can totally see myself being like, "Okay. Great. He gets it." But when he's still half-heartedly defending those obvious blunders and everything is a, "Well, I understand what you're saying BUT IF THIS OR THAT HAPPENED we wouldn't be having this discussion makes me really question how coachable the coach is.

  10. At the end of day ED has 2x 100 million $ superstars & defenseman who has 100mph blast. They went to G7 in cup last year so we’re still behind the curve. Just need to retweak few things & regroup. Def time for Blake to move on c u next year. GKG!

  11. I don’t understand why we would fire Rob. He’s been fantastic. Look at our players, Rob did that. Yes, he’s been GM for 8 years and really nothing to show for it, but he is the one who really got us here through the rebuild. I personally think he’s done a fantastic job. Now that the rebuild over, time for a GM who has a “go get em” mentality. Thank you Rob! (Besides that Dubois trade :/)

  12. I think that missed call in game 4 late in the game was when alot changed. Could be a different series if that missed trip with a ref looking right at it.
But still don't think we would have ventured any further then 1st round.
And the maybe decisions messed things up or maybe they didn't. Won't discuss them now? Doughty to much and you mentioned not 100. Jords rings you a goal when back, maybe missed that when scratched? Trying to match up to their lines when we said any line could match. Guess not players. Sucks if it effects line health.
    Tc Blake.

  13. Hiller F-ed up and made some really wrong calls as Coach that cost us ANOTHER 1st Round exit. Honestly if the new GM doesn't bring in a new coach I would hope Hiller is on thin ice. Not playing the 4th line screwed our other lines… such a bad move.

  14. clown taking about missing open nets and guys hitting the post. ridiculous. your opposition did the same thing and guess what? it all counts for nothing.

  15. I hope Hiller sticks around. From watching the players, we know how important experience is, and this is only his first full year. We could have given up on Kempe or Byfield, but allowed them to grow into their positions. The coach is the same thing. I find it incredibly unfortunate that this Kings team had a rookie coach during this particular season, as a different coach would have taken them further. However, looking forward to next year and beyond, Hiller will continue to grow and will have a championship team eventually.

  16. It’s crazy the amount of pretenders in here. NEVER hear from you when the team is crushing it. But Now?! You pretend to know what actually takes place, and are pointing the finger at this man. I don’t love his lack of accountability and that mite possibly get him fired. Other than that, he had a great year.
