Sam "Goon" Bennett is a coward and a disgrace to the "C" on his chest. The refs who failed to call a penalty are a disgrace to all refs. Bettman is a disgrace to humanity and the League. Hopefully karma will make itself known to the Goon in game 2.

I understand the non call because refs miss infractions every day. As far as a cheap shot goes, all you have to look at is the source. Or, go ask Brad Marchand.
HE PUSHES HIS ELBOW OUT AFTER CONTACT. He clearly tried to mask his cowardice by tucking his forearm in (his favourite move) but you can't hind the fucking push out afterwards. There was fucking force behind that and you got Florida fans who have never skated once in their lives, probably didn't go to school, and have an IQ of about 50 due to living in Florida, talking like medical experts saying shi like ah yes the 72% concussion shake that all goalies do when their strap comes loose.

I HATE the Panthers and Sam bennet but I didn't see any hard fragrant hit on the goalie. Bennett looked like he had his skates out of the crease when he went by. Let's see what the docs say. I say it was a dive to get a penalty.
Leafs fans are trying so hard to have Bennet suspended. First Bennet never touched the paint. second Bennet stepped on Stolarz stick causing him to be off balanced which is why he flared his elbow. Third if he was intentionally trying to hit him why did he skate away from him. That last period has you guys worried because that’s the only period that Panthers were dialed in.
This is what we're losing our shit about today? That was nothing, he went to the net on a powerplay and barely made any contact. Clearly incidental contact at worst, move along.
He should be suspended for the series. But piece of shit will be playing next game. Everybody keep your head away from the asshole.

He knew exactly that he was skating right at the goalie, hoping for incidental contact with a defenceman as cover.

I thought this was going to be a serious thing. That’s a contested hockey play where an unfortunate thing happened. Bennett has actually done real things that hurt people. Why point to this non play?
The Panthers have 3 weasel players out there who have injured many players in Bennett, Tkachuk and Marchand.

Should’ve been 5 and game and I don’t care for either team. You HAVE to protect players from headshots 100% of the time. Otherwise CTE will run rampant in vets of the league and we all know what that does to a person. Player safety dropped the ball as usual with no discipline for Sam.
