Huge Win last night. With the injury to Stoli, the Leafs had every reason to let the Leafs of old come out and blow this game. This team is maturing into a cup contender. FLA is going to be tough this series, every goal is going to matter. No lead is safe in the playoffs, but I was pissed that the star players (Matthews) did not sink that empty netter.
Marner is being outgrown by this team. With Knies becoming this monster, this makes Marner expendable. Which is a blessing in disguise for the Leafs, because that would give them 14 mil in cap space. I think that the only way this team can grow is letting Marner walk and get an Eljhers , Marchment, or a Bennett.
This is the growth I wanted to see from the Leafs, and no matter what happens in this series, this team is becoming a monster.
