When Eric staal was here as a player he absolutely hated it and wanted nothing more than to get out as fast as possible he gave half efforts and it showed when he went to other teams and produced twice as much. I honestly don't know how to feel about this I expected an experienced assistant general manager come in and help Kevin Adams be better at his job, I think Kevin is a good general manager, I like what he's done, and I'm puzzled about what he hasn't been able to do but a lot of it is players don't want to come to Buffalo and a general manager can only hurt his team by overpaying free agents and backing people to play where they don't want to be, we need a general manager assistant who will sell the team to players and make them want to be here

After u got acquired from 4 years ago in the free agency and congratulations with ur retirement and very happy to see u being hired and join in the building again and you're our new special guy to help Kevyn Adams in ur relationship of your heart to team up in the office and help our team to organize on how to make us the contender and get our lives active and prove the sabres to get in the playoffs like u and Adams won the Stanley Cup together from 2006! Eric Staal is one of my favorite players too that I'll never forget that I played NHL 08 on PS2-PS3 version and made a rebuild for him, Greatest star and captain I'll never forget that thing. I'm happy to see him come back here!

Nothing against Eric. I'm sure he is a good person. But one has to wonder if he is just hired to lure players he knows in the league that won't come to Buffalo and not because he's an experienced manager or even coach.
Thank god Kevyn Adams can fix the problems he's created by hiring is unemployed buddy!
If this position was needed I hope he was the best available for it. And not a friend hire. Has to be Adam’s last chance. I do love the core of the Sabres. I really hope it all comes together.
As a fan since 1970, it would have been unfathomable to imagine how low this team could go. The only thing surprising is their ability to keep going lower. Bringing in a guy with zero experience who gave no effort while played here is a slap in the face. Add to that giving an asst coach who couldn't run the power play a bigger say is ridiculous
