Very unfortunate finish!
Skinner is the reason they had to play so many OT games and seven game series last season. He cost Edmonton a cup. Was not good all this year either. Big big fail on managements part to not get a goalie.

In my opinion this wasn't a problem with Stu it was a problem with Leon being responsible for 3 out of the 4 goals against yesterday. There. Someone had the guts to say it. Leon had a bad game. Guess what, anyone can. Oh, yeah, D wise, I don't think it's respect I think it's reliance. It's like the D relies on Stuart Skinner and assumes he'll stop more so they don't have to work as hard.

I've said it before and I've read comments from others as well that this Oilers team plays better with Pickard in goal. The players won't come out and say it publicly but I'm pretty sure they all have a really good idea of who the better goalie is in Edmonton.

Pickard has always been the better goalie imo I just don't know how they let Skinner back in last year after the Canucks series. I would have at least rode Pickard to the end.
