Compare this to the Jets and Stars handshake line after their Game 6. Yes, it was obviously more emotional because of Scheifele (RIP Brad) but that was on the heels of an intense game where both teams gave it everything they had. This is the direct opposite of that.

The Matthews player that exists in Toronto is a creation of the team. His perennial post season disappearance should not be surprising as that is the player they built. From his very first season he was coddled with all the “EASY MINUTES”. He was given the best matchups and all the power play time. Great for putting up regular season numbers and hardly a challenge.. Come playoffs there are no easy minutes. Not five on five and not up a man on the owner play or down a man in the kill. If there is a team out there that wants or needs an easy minutes man he is your guy and the organization is complicit in creating that player. The “C” needs to be ripped off his jersey and it would be best to send him packing along with all current management.
After watching the first 2 games i was worried. Toronto genuinely looked like a terrific team. I think i said "terrifying" but lets calm down. It could have gone either way.. i never doubted my Panthers but it was a scary start. Seeing the fanbase turn on the Leafs is sad and ugly. Not convinced its deserved but I'm not that type of fan. Glad to celebrate going to round 3 but nothing to celebrate beating Toronto. They already decided to devour their own.
Marchand's positive comments about this Leafs team after the game tell me he would consider signing with them on July 1. If he's interested, Treliving should be too.
