OMG, so nobody in the Sabres front office knows how to build a team or has actually built a team. Adams has shown he can't, Pegula seems to like Adams so he doesn't care about winning.
The reason I don't like the Eric Staal move is the implication. There's no shot this guy has any kind of decision making impact at the draft or in free agency after like 6 weeks on the job. What it implies then, is that he thinks he has time to learn and grow into the role.
Kevyn Adams shouldn't have that kind of time. He shouldn't be getting a multi-season crack at fixing this. But…if Staal took this job and Terry okayed what is essentially a long term internship, then Kevyn is probably completely safe no matter what next seasons results end up being, and no amount of fan anger is going to matter to them. It sucks.

When Pegula purchased the sabres in '11 he said winning the Cup is the priority and he'll hire the best scouts, coaches, trainers and whatever else the team needs to get the job ….. He apparently forgot what he said

Let me help you, Paul: the Sabres should have fired Kevyn Adams LAST year. That he is still GM is an insult to Sabres fans (if there are any, that is).
As long as Kevin Adams is in the Front Office the Saberettes will not make the playoffs, could you imagine the Sabre's with the team they have in the playoffs?? LOL They would all be in the hospital with injuries; they aren't made to survive the wear and tear. losers
