  1. Beacher is a solid 4th line center. Great at face offs and will play the body but i think he'd attack more. Matty put the weight on, if hes stronger on his skates i can see him passing coyle for 2nd line center. I mean his defense mishaps, while he learns will get covered up by marchy. I think matty and marchy should be doing more together just to get the kid going. I think hes gonna be real good if he can keel the growth and not be so easy to knock around and with zadorov out there, going after matty is gonna be a tougb decision for any opposing player to make.

  2. Merkulov is a left shot centre. I don't think he has ever played wing.

Lysell is two years younger, is right handed and has a higher talent ceiling.

I say he makes the team and if he doesn't work out he becomes tradebait.

  3. Beecher is the worst 4th line player we have had in as long as I can remember and I started watching in 2003. I’d rather go back to the Vladimir sobotka experiment than give Beecher another season to do nothing.

  4. If they don't pick up some good players it's going to be another year like last year. Poitras suffered injuries in two seasons. He needs to hit the gym and get less injury prone.

  5. Bunch of Plugs. Potsi the best out of them IF he can get his confidence back and stay healthy. Also he won't be successful buried on the 3rd line

  6. Merculov needs a chance but I’d start him on the Bottom lines to see what kind of impact he can make for a couple months. Lysell is just trade bait at this time.

  7. Merkulov isn't quite fast enough or strong enough to get into the position he needs to be that split second faster in the NHL to use his gifts, he looks like a tweener to me. Too good for the AHL & not quite enough for the top league. Beecher I wouldn't even qualify, good on faceoffs but soft, especially for his size and never uses the talents he has (skating) enough to make an impact in games.

Lysell and Poitras will get their chance to make the team in September

  8. BeecherS only attribute is his face off ability. He leaves us wanting more every time we see him play. He’s neither here no there. I’m not sure if Pozzi is ready for the NHL. He needs to add 15 to 20 pounds of muscle onto his body and and Lysol so far looks like a bust. frame.

  9. Although Beecher was a first round pick (30th) and is big and fast, he doesn't seem to use his size. I don't think there's any guarantee he'll be on the team after scoring three goals in 70+ games.
