Trade Byram to Calgary for Andersson( Ufa next summer) if he agrees to sign long term or to St louis for Parayko. Or as someone mentioned in the comments , a rumour out of Philly has Byram to Philly for Owen Tippett. Right side would look strong then with Thompson, Tuch, Tippett and Greenway. Bye bye to Lafferty and make Quinn a spare forward .

Trade Power or Samelsson before Byram, Power is an oversized lightweight as a defenseman and Sammie is injury prone. Get the value on them while they still have some worth on the trade market. Let's face it this franchise is a clusterf@ck, so many things need to change from the GM down.

I like Byram. I think he and Dahlin play well together. I’d rather see Samuelson go and maybe trade this years 1st and prospects and a player (Quinn, Lafferty, Kulich… whoever) for a RHD. Also… play Byram on the PP!!! The guy has skills… why not try it for a season. I’d take Power off as he didn’t really do much on the PP.
They should just pay him and put him with Dahlin, he plays great with Dahlin, I could see that as a permanent pairing in the lineup, Sign Byram slot with Dahlin and then work on finding a better partner for Owen "Down on" Power, NOT Jacob Fucking Bernard Docker, throw him on the 3rd line he's not a 2nd line Dman in this league i'm sorry he's just not.

If we get rid of Byram and can't figure out a way to sign him and Peterka there may be no hope for this franchise. I would prefer to trade Dahlin for a major impact forward like Tkachuck or Suzuki, Keller or equivalent. Dahlin has turned into a very good dman and he has the collateral to bring a game changing player back in return. You would also save a couple mill .Next get a coaching staff who can teach & work with Sammy, Power & Byram to develop their abilities, they all have talent, they are young, & havent come close to reaching their ceiling. A team like the Sabres caught in the losing vortex must not keep letting their top talent go elsewhere without proper compensation, it's like a cat chasing it's tail, you'll go nowhere. If need be, trade lesser talents that are eating up cap space to raise money needed to bring in better players. Ekblad will be out there, and other quality d. Spend your $ wisely, I think the Sabres are closer to playoff status than many think, they just need better management and player development.

The Buffalo Sabres are just number 32 of 32 teams that’s it. It’s a joke.
I see two options that the Sabres should do either they should trade Bowen and the 9th overall pick to San Jose for the 2nd overall pick as the Sharks have too man centers while the Sabres are missing that true franchise 2nd or even first line center. Misa is what buffalo needs offensively. If Kevin Adams plays his cards right then it would work out big time for the Buffalo and San Jose. In Buffalo's case Misa would be the second line center until he's ready to that the first line center position from Tage. As for San Jose they not only get a first line defender as Bowen wants first line time in the NHL as Dickinson isn't read for the top D pairing yet in San Jose. Also the Sharks have the chance to draft Victor Eklund if they move back to 9 which means the Eklund brothers would reunite. If I'm Kevyn Adams I would consider that an option before this years Entry Draft.
