The Canes have a bunch of small guys trying to play Panthers hockey. Of course they can’t grind things out. Florida is full of big, bruising guys who sh!t disturb and will pound opposing teams at every opportunity.

The Panthers Owner and Management have a lot to do with a commitment to winning. Some owners just don't care.
I might be a biased Cats fan but it would inarguably be a dynasty if they were able to repeat as cup champions. Cuz it's not just back-to-back cups. It would be their third consecutive appearance in the finals after winning the Presidents Trophy the year before they started showing up to the final show

Look at the Panthers trading for Matthew T and since then they have been domininant. (Obviously there are additional moves as well but that was the biggest one)

Many people claim that the Cats as a team is not as good as last year. I disagree; good reinforcements like Seth & Brad, but most importantly: the whole team has improved and the confidence is higher than ever.
All you need to do to win at hockey is DUMP THE PUCK IN DEEP AND FORECHECK. All of you clowns told me the game is changing. Its a speed skill game now. Balogna! Size and strength still win out. Dump that puck in deep and forecheck with puck support!

I’m a massive Lightning fan, but as much as I hate these guys (Tkachuk and Marchand in particular), I have to respect what they’ve done and where they came from. I remember when they were rumored to relocate and tickets were being handed out like candy. It’s nice to see them having success, and it’s been fun playing them in the playoffs these past few years. May the rivalry live on, Panthers fans!
Whats crazy is Bob will have a bad game every series, but his "bad games" aren't nearly as bad as everyone else. Toronto pushed the Panthers to the edge and they only got better, Carolina pushed a bit but not to much and Panther again respond and take the series. Edmonton is going to need to be much better then last year to get past Florida again and I don't see that happening.

Back to back Cups is NOT a dynasty. Pitt with Sid and TB recently were great teams, but not dynasties. If Florida wins this year AND next year, then it's a dynasty.

We, the panthers fans, are enjoying these times. I do not care whether this Panthers team is anointed a dynasty or not. I am loving their winning ways. I have watching the Cats since 1993 and I am elated. Go Panthers!
The canes situation is a bit odd, but i can't say I'm angry or dissapointed (other than game 2). The team surpassed expectations, we've found new players that will become a core part of the team, and have plenty of money to invest in areas we could use more help in.
It sucks the season is over now, but we seem so much closer to figuring it our than taking a step in the wrong direction at the end of this season.
with all the blatant injury attempts the panthers go for it's surprising that other teams don't to the same to them lol

3 cup finals and even with 2 possibly being cups winners, that's not a dynasty by former standards. Maybe with the swings in trades and player movement it can be made a case. Dynasty just seems like you should be getting at least 3 plus cups in 5-6 cup runs. Lightning certainly are close candidates too. Chicago in the Toews era. True dynasties tho- Islanders amd Oilers in 80s. 70s Montreal. 60s Toronto. But then again pre 70s theres only 6 teams total
