The way Florida rebounded after that first period shows how strong they are as a team and why they're here to begin with. I'm an Oilers fan but I don't know expect in the finals. Especially now that Hyman is out.
After the 1st I was so sure we were headed to a Game 6. The Canes played excellent but I'm happy that Florida could come through at the end. That final Bennett penalty was STRESSFUL. But my God what work from Barkov assisting that GWG 🤤

I've never been more jaded with the league. Playoff hockey is not regular hockey. Playoff hockey isn't about good systems. It's about commiting enough infractions to drive your opponent to insanity. When you don't get a rise just resort to injuring the other team.

As a canes fan, i kinda wanted the series to end here. I really didnt see the canes coming back to win in 7 and would just be too painful if they got to game 7 just to lose then.
Those 2 aho goals in first period were so weak, I still didnt have incredible hope after them.
We often say "these teams don't like each other" but I have to say – that was NOT a particularly warm and friendly handshake line. Both teams seemed to be done with each other.

Paul Maurice is right: the handshake line should be reserved for the players. The same goes for names on the Stanley Cup: players, coaches, GM, owner. If I'm not mistaken there are many more names on the cup than deserve to be. They Didn't Earn It.

No need to feel bad for the Canes. Go through all the fanbases one by one and how many besides the Panthers, Oilers, Senators, Canadiens, and Blues would say things went as good or better than expected? Rangers went from the Cup Finals to missing the playoffs. The Leafs, Wild, and Jets failed again. Great regular seasons for the Devils, Capitals, Avs, and Golden Knights didn't translate to the post-season. The Bruins and Predators dropped hard. The Pens, Red Wings, Sabres, Flyers, Flames, and Canucks didn't qualify yet again. Right now is a great time to be a Huge Cainac!

Slight correction, Aho’s second goal was below the blocker, not five hole. Disagree that it was a “bit of a lucky goal” but it’s all good.
Very entertaining game. I give the fans a lot of credit. They stuck around and cheered their team all the way until the end.
FL didn't show up for the first period, but then woke up part of the way through the second. Lucky for them Carolina didn't build a bigger lead.
