As a Leafs fan: Bennett is either going to stay in Florida or go to Flyers/Sabres, and Marchand will either resign in Florida, go back to Boston, or sign a cheap deal with Vegas. Can’t see the leafs getting any of the big name free agents tbh which is why I think we have no choice but to bring back Tavares

If tavers wants 7.9 he won't be coming back lol 4-5 mill max and I can see Bennett being anywhere from 7-9 mill , depending how desperate some teams are maybe 9.5-10 , but I do see the leafs going after both Bennett and Marchand, but I'm sliding tavers back to the third line to give us more depth

Why are Pacioretty and Jarnkrok still on this roster? To me, Patches was a great story but he’s not getting better sub Cowan for Patches and Holmberg or Steeves for Jarnkrok and then you have even more cap space for a deadline acquisition

Not to mention Marchand wants nothing to do with the atmosphere of Toronto, and Bennet isn't taking 6.4

The BIG problem with your roster is Bennett will get 9 to 10M per minimum.
Reality of it is two major, Toronto Maple leaf player and coach. Both admit that Marner is worth signing and Nylander should be traded. And this guy also agrees. I have no idea why the media beats the hell out of Marner and lets Nylander float around the red line. Waiting for the stretch. Pass with no defensive play whatsoever. Come on Toronto pull your head out of your ass and recognize which player plays two ways and which one has been floating for the stretch pass. Not to mention do you know why Matthews has so many goals just look to Marner and you'll realize why.

Bennet nor Marchand is signing in Toronto. Who came up with this crap? Or is it just wishful thinking?
The PROBLEM(S) are extensive:
* If Marner & Tavares aren't coming back…
* You still need to sign Knies (it'll be expensive)…
* You need to outbid teams for Bennet, Ehlers & Marchant (they will NOT come to Toronto for 5-6 million… they will need to be overpaid at 6-7 million)
* You STILL have Nylander & Matthews ''driving'' the offense and 'culture' of this team which means you won't go far in the playoffs once again
