Quelle est la prochaine étape après que les premiers jets globaux perdent au deuxième tour?

  1. I think Winnipeg's biggest strength is their scouting. If you look at their players, most of them are from small towns, Lowry is from the biggest and that's St. Louis (Tanev is from Toronto, but he just came there now and who knows if he'll stay). With Winnipeg not being a very attractive market, they do a great job of picking out players for whom this probably won't be a problem.

  2. All but one team, don’t get over the hump. I want a competitive team on the ice, putting butts in seats and who does well in the regular season. I’m a hardcore hockey fan in Winnipeg, and ya gotta be realistic

  3. The Jets feel like they've turned into a team of family and brotherhood where money doesn't matter, If all Ehlers wants is money, Get him out.

  4. Sabres trade: UPL
    Byrum
    JJ
    3 firsts
    Winnipeg trade: Hellebuck
    connor
    Ehlers

    all free agents extended obviously.
    Who says no? lol

  5. I joked with a friend the Jets blow it because they never acknowledged the Thrashers history now I'm convinced they're not winning until they do lol.

  6. I wonder why it is such an absurd idea to trade Hellebuyck. Amongst the 10 teams you can freely trade him to is there one that would pay a lot for a Vezina winning goalie?
Maybe Shannon is correct in thinking overplaying Hellebuyck is the reason for his decline in the playoffs. But I would think any GM would explore the return for trading him.

  7. <- Jets fan from '76… This team is clearly not built for the playoffs. They are fast, talented and disciplined… but that doesn't win Stanley. We need more grit. Schenn was a great addition for this and Tanev brings a lot of energy, but I think we really miss Big Buff. A few key upgrades (2C/3C/4C?, upgrade a couple D, maybe a "heavier" forward) and it could change the outlook for My Team! Go Jets Go!

  8. The cap rise might be the difference between them sinking or swimming, depending what other teams do with their own bounty.

  9. Connor Hellebuyck under Paul Maurice in the playoffs (2018-2021):
    35 Games Played
    .921 save percentage
    2.46 GAA
    3 shutouts
    20 Quality Starts (57.1%)
    GSAA of 11.4

Connor Hellebuyck from 2023-2025 in the playoffs:
    23 Games Played
    .870 save percentage
    3.60 GAA
    2 Shutouts
    5 Quality Starts (21.7%)
    -19.7 GSAA

  10. I hope Ehlers stays, and I’m fairly confident he will. Helle looked better as the stats series went on, plays his best game in the one which we get eliminated (unfortunately).

Fleury I really like as well, and I think he earned himself a spot in the top 6.

  11. I think it IS on management and the coach for continuing to overplay Hellebuyck in the regular season, especially as the downward playoff trend is now gone THREE YEARS. Even if theoretically they had sat him for 3 more games this year and they lost every one, it would not have made any difference in the standings.

  12. Yes, I believe Hellebuyck is over played. The Jets need a reliable backup to give Hellebuyck some rest during the season, And then come playoff time he’s well rested and ready.

  13. I say the answer is; You keep on keepin on..
Only 1 winner every year, and the current Jets are in line with a bunch of others.
Edmonton, Dallas, Toronto…(All teams are, of course, but only a handful have realistic 'win-now' aspirations)
Not to mention Tampa, Avs and Vegas who are still within their windows.
So between Florida and the 6 teams Ive mentioned, which isnt even all inclusive…
Its a difficult thing, hoisting a Cup.

  14. Helleybuck does not impress me in the playoffs at all!His performance in the playoffs is nothing to writ home about!Season don’t mean crap, how you perform in the playoffs, tells your play!

  15. The issue for teams "not getting over the hump" simply is that there are usually 15 other good to great teams in the playoffs.
When there is only 1 cup winner there have to be some teams that can't win it all. 😂
But I'd really appreciate a more positive view on teams in general. I know as a fan there is alot if frustration and negative emotion when your team loses but still you should appreciate their e achievements and not their failure against a very good opponent.

  16. You could make an entire video on the bad luck Scheifele has had in virtually every play-off exit over the years. Tkachuk carves his leg, Evan hit suspends him out, tragic father passing…and I am sure there's more. End that jinx and we go all the way!

  17. Walton is still 3 years away. Yager might start the season for the first 6 games then to the AHL. Barlow AHL. Lambert traded.

  18. I usually agree with your takes but saying Appleton is a good 3rd liner is a bad take. He's awful. No offensive instinct, the play dies when he touches the puck, doesn't hit, the list goes on. PK is about all he's good for and that's pushing it. Most fans will be happy to see him go

  19. 100 percent agree the jets need a viable backup who the coach will play Id imagine a Quick would of helped against Dallas

  20. Lifetime Jets fan. I think we saw real growth in the team this year and am happy with the final result. They did the 5% better that was asked. The next level is the intensity at big moments. I trust Arniel to give this a good shot. I still have enough faith to keep this team together. Let Ehlers walk, keep Vilardi, Samberg. Bring in some of the young guns.
