– I would also recommend supporting your local AHL team – if it's anything like the Marlies: good price for the tickets, it's very good hockey (almost NHL level, duh), and it's good time.
– I was in Toronto for game 7 of the Calder Cup when the Marlies played the Texas Stars, when the Marlies won AT HOME. It was unreal. It's so cool to see your team win the Cup.

I think the reason, when that false goal happened, the players stopped skating because the crowd was so loud the players couldn't hear the refs lol (yes the ref uses hand motions but still)
just FYI, Hellberg was drafted by Nashville but only played 12 min in his only NHL appearance for NSH in a 6-1 loss to STL.

Manitoba Moose made it to finals & lost to Hershey in 2009 on the back of Cory Schneider. I missed it after moving away in December, grew up a Moose fan at the Winnipeg Arena, Bieksa, Jimmy Roy, Mike Keane, Baumgartner, Wade "the grand old man" Flaherty
The Nucks were the better team for sure, all series. Still proud of the South Stars for the effort all the way to the end, and I had way more fun with this series than with the NHL conference final. Hopefully Blumel gets a spot on the wing with the big club this year.

I'm glad you mentioned the temperature in the building. Both goalies were dumping water down their backs all game and I wouldn't be surprised if Hellberg's 3rd period rebound control issues were due to fatigue.
