Are the Montreal Canadiens the opposite of the New York Rangers in terms of how they treat players?
The Ducks could sign McDavid and this guy would be like "Mmm, well Anaheim overpaid and so much for McDavids career"
Kreider still has ALOT of good hockey left in him. Sad to see Kreider go. Good lucks with the Ducks Kreider! Thanks for everything!
I’m a Ranger fan and I’m sad over this. Mika was the guy who needed to go for the better of the team.

I feel like Rangers got away with murder here personally. They have a chance to get some young talent and develop them now through free agency if they want to or add an immediate contributor who can be there in the future.
Kreider was the definition of “all quit in NY” the last two years besides his playoff hat trick. And yea he scored some goals two years ago and all but he still would take way too many games off because he just didn’t feel like playing. And that’s why he lost a lot of rangers fans respect and why he needed to be moved even if he has a 40g 60p season this year, which I’m sure he will.
The Rangers will never win as long as the think they can start new every year…Management of this team continues to suck..
For both teams was a good trade. Ducks still not done with the moves yet. The owner made it clear that they will be spending big this off season.
FYI It is pronounced Carey Terr”AN”ce. And I think this good for the Ducks. They get him for almost nothing. Only makes him better. Terrance probably won’t make the Ducks with their prospects
I have the perfect plan for next season. If anyone is interested I'll tell you
This makes me sad.
It’s bitter sweet for us rangers guys
I hate this trade and Chris Drury's face
Rangers had to free up the cash or risk letting Cuyle get poached on an offer sheet. There was for sure way more good times than bad with CK20, but less we forget the reason he's no longer a Ranger. He's a quitter! Would rather cry out loud and sulk for players on other teams than show up and do his job night in and night out. Hopefully his Swedish man friend is next.
Wanted him in Toronto on LW
Krieder still scored 20 goals 6.5 million isn't that much considering the cap is going up and how much space the Ducks have. They had to bring in Salary to hit the floor. So let's stop pretending like it's some horrendous contract. So to give up a 2nd and 3rd isnt an extreme overpay for 20+ goal scorer and the assists will come with his teammates playing better
As a Rangers fan, I'm gonna miss Kreider and I think he still has plenty more in the tank. I think this move was done not just for cap, but I think they try to move Mika next, and without his best friend, he may be more open to waiving his NMC. Also, Drury never makes big trades in the same conference, every big move he's done is a Western Conference team.
The worst apart of this trade is Habs fans can only boo Krieder once per year. How is he’s supposed to remember his crime now!!!!!
The Rags are gonna make a move for Marner.
Poor job done NYR – the Canucks would have given you their 1st round pick for that deal 🤣
What the Ducks did was giving back Trouba's pick (which was NYR's) and traded a young prospect.
The Anaheim Rangers are looking good.
As a lifelong Ducks fan, I'm stoked for next season. We're going to get our revenge now!
The Rangers are bound to end up on a lot of no-trade lists.
One thing you’re forgetting is the fact that Kreider and Mika literally quit on the team last year along with the other vets. This move had to be made. Great Ranger, but it was time.
The thing is, Ducks have acquired several "questionable" contracts in recent years – Kreider, Trouba, Killorn, Gudas, Strome. But all of them are set to expire in the next two seasons. And that also includes Gibson btw. So by the time their young core is entering their prime and they have to lock them up, these veterans will be either gone or on cheaper deals. So these acquisitions might or might not work for them, but either way, the risk is very low in the long run. And the goal for next season is not just to contend for the playoffs, but to get there.
I think the Ducks are delusional. I watched many of their games this season and listened to their commentators talk about how close they were and when they played the sharks basically belittled them for thinking they were just as close but were horrible (the sharks came back to beat them). The ducks need defenders like no other team I can remember other than the wings of 2 years ago and theyre out here spending 6 mil on an aging forward? I just dont understand their plan to stop the puck other than their goalies.
What’s up with the SDPN guys and overrating washed players in their mid 30s. I swear they do it to someone new every year and those players never turn it around
