If Montreal takes two at home, the advantage goes to Montreal?
NO SHIT MY GUY!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great analysis, as usual.
Like MSL said, you can't practice this kind of pressure and "craziness". It's all about learning for them this year and they are indeed learning, and fast! My Habs have great years ahead.
I have to admit, these non penalized crosschecks in Gally's and Caufield's face are incredibly frustrating, because the reffing is so inconsistent.
Keep up the good work!
Lol so which team do you think is most favoured at home rink by the refs in all nhl history from not calling penalties?
What team has the most penalties when away in all history?
What team has the most penalties in general in history?
What team has the least penalties in general history?
They're the smaller team as well. Montreal will fight until the end but they are a work in progress. You need more than one line to win a 7 game series. It's going to be a big summer for Hughes and Gorton. Better days are ahead for Habs fans!
Montreal management has to realize something that started ages ago: Refs don't call penalties, they balance penalties. That's the tactic Boston used many years, that's the tactic Florida with the Tkatchuk trade and it's what Washington is doing now.
Montreal needs to get dirtier.

48 is Hutson in this defensive clip with Slaf.
(Matheson is 8)
sick video man, thanks!
LETS GO CAPS LETS GO CAPS
Not a big deal for the Habs goalie…
Only have to defend against the greatest goal scorer of all time.
Plus Ovi is knocking kids around to teach them what playoffs are all about. If he really wanted to hurt one he would have. All those hits were minor.
All I can say is that whoever scores the most will win.
I got to be honest guys. Caps are up 2-0 so without their third best forward. When Protas comes back it’s only going to get much worse for Montreal. We can all agree the late game heroics have been fun to watch but the habs should have been down 4-1 at the end of the second easily. Monte has been elite and if he goes from elite to just good… then you can expect a quick 4-5 game series.
Yeah no if it wasn’t for the Habs goalie standing on his head the caps win each game by 4-5 goals. They’ve been objectively better for the majority of both games. They’ve Habs played and pushed torwards the end because they have skill, but paired with the Caps goalie playing even better? Yeah no doesn’t look good for Montreal.
Ovi has been great playing in MTL over the years. They love the mojo. Habs likely squeeze one win in MTL, then the series comes back to WSH and Caps win in 5
Amazing analysis! Habs fan here. They’ve already exceed expectations this year so this playoff appearance is a bonus experience for them. Agree on all your points.
We also forgetting that Caps have the best road record in the league at 25-13-3
“It’s fine, everything’s fine”🫠
No ARBER, NO PROTECTION… the coach has betrayed his players 😢
this is the third time NO X EQUALS LOST
Hard not to lose when you can continually cross check your opponent in the face and not get called for it. Bad for hockey.
Thoughts on Laine getting benched in the 3rd?
Coach Ryan pushing out the videos like never before. I know it takes a lot of time to push out these types of videos and we appreciate it. After the Jets, I'm following the Habs. All their stars are under 25 and they still have a lot of talent percolating in Laval. Will dominate the Atlantic for a decade.
They have not shown ANY signs of getting better that only happens late game becuase Washington stops pushing with the lead.
MTL loses far too many puck battles and they cannot stop ANY player in their end they just chase chase chase until the other team takes a poor quality shot and MTL gets a loose puck.
That part of the game you showed with "puck support" is the exact problem …TOO LATE all chasing the puck around instead of reading th game and being there sooner to intercept.Just look at how far away Caufield was from the boards where he SHOULD know the defense often have to move the puck he was like 20 feet from the proper position.
That goal you showed is exactly what I been saying >>get some bodies in front of the net and SHOOT the puck however that happens VERY little.
I’ll say the same thing I did when they were in last place, we got em right where we want em. 😂
Fantastic and honest analysis!
I have not been able to watch most MTL games through the season (german pay tv only shows selected nhl games and most of them are teams with german players in the roster…) but every time i see those kids i'm amazed. It seems they are constantly learning (while playing) and getting better and better. So much patience and potential in this team, its always interesting and fun to watch them. I really hope to see this team evolve over the next years to become one of the best in the league^^
When the Caps have their 3-0 lead the refs will start favoring the Habs instead to give them a win of two and give this a better look.
