  1. Panthers have taken away the speed game of the oilers and the oilers aren't good at dump and chase.
If/when Florida wins, that's 3 cups in 4 years for Evan Rodriguez if I'm not mistaken.

  2. Really thought the Oilers would come out absolutely flying in this one, but they just seemed flat footed and tired. This is probably Mcdavid and Draisaitl's best chance to get that elusive Cup. Gonna be tough to beat them at home so I really do feel pretty confident Florida will wrap this up next game.

  3. Definitely a defensive masterclass. I was so, so happy with the Panthers' effort last night. ONE MORE, VAMOS GATOS!! 🔥🔥🐆🐆🐆🐆

  4. I think they should stick with Pickard. If they don't they have two broken shells of a man to rotate when Skinner gets pulled.

Florida was pretty dominant. I am very disappointed if they let this slip into game 7 again. And that Conn Smythe, give it to Marchand. I know Bennet and McDavid and Draisaitl. Even Hellebuck have case for it. But the impact Marchand has on final series, if Cats win… It is Conn Smythe impact I say. And not like he was bad in previous rounds either.

  5. wasn't a great game by ekholm and the line up changes and constant juggling of lines is killing the oilers i'm still picking the oilers in 7

  6. After reading a bunch of comments, and the fact that EDM fans are debating who should start (which means who will be the losing goalie on Tuesday)

I'm thinking maybe EDM should just play 6 out for game 6

  7. Welp….the curse for Canadian teams not winning the Stanley Cup looks to continue. I honestly can't see Edmonton winning two games in a row.

  8. Really disappointed in the Oilers. The win in game 4 should have given them a big boost, then they put in a performance like that? I thought they had the drive and determination not to lose this again – they didn't show it in game 5.

  9. We have one team that even on a penalty kill, gets shots on goal. Then we have the other team who can’t determine who to put in net, Skinner or Pickard? It’s hilarious how Edmonton even made it this far.

  10. should have started Skinner. I think he's a must start for game 6. Just my two cents.

Marchand making a serious case for MVP.

  11. Absolutely the best thing said “Switch Bob and either Oiler goalie and the results would be the same”. Speaks volumes. Reflection of the team in front. End game.

  12. Funny how on almost every Panthers goal, you look up and see 2 coasting into the zone behind the play. They are going to give him $10 mil, and 97 15 or 16 mil, wonderful…

  13. Edmonton is basically the same team as last year minus Hyman.
Florida is basically the same team plus turbocharged Marchand. Not difficult to predict this outcome, unfortunately.

  14. Grit and commitment beat generational talent — especially when that talent breeds team entitlement.

McDavid plays at an elite level 99% of the time, no question. But the real challenge isn't his performance — it's how, or whether, he can elevate those around him. That’s the difference between being great and being a leader.

Players like Bennett and Marchand don’t always have the flash, but they bring grit, edge, and an ability to drag a team into the fight — shift after shift. That kind of leadership is contagious.

I sense that Oilers fans aren’t just upset — they’re devastated. Why? Because the illusion of destiny — that talent alone guarantees glory — is being shattered in real time. Entitlement doesn’t lift the Cup. Grit does.

  15. Oilers just aren't deep enough, and their goaltending kinda sucks. I don't care how top heavy the talent is, Florida is deeper, tougher and has Bob.

  16. As a Penguins fan this reminds me of their incredible back to back run. Key trades and the team with the best goal tending coming out on top

  17. Theres smarter hockey guys than me that can do these stats but i think there isnt a major difference between these teams in terms of production other than goaltending. Florida might still be the better team overall and this isnt an anti skinner post its a pro bobvroski. I think if you swap goalies you swap this entire series feel and wins around

  18. I’ve never seen a worse response at home than the first period oilers .. they looked dreadful and they seemed to have no energy .. with mediocre netminders they have no chance .. Perry was their best player and at 100 yrs old that speaks to the lethargic Oilers

  19. Despite the horrid performance I wouldn’t count them quite done yet as we have seen it seems what happens in one game seems to have little to do with the next

  20. I've said before this series started, it'd come down to goaltending. And it undoubtedly has. Bobs a HOFer, Skinner and Pickard, are not, whatsoever

  21. Brother. Have you been drinking? The oilers could easily have been up 2-0. A blatant missed call in OT (2 many men) not only took away a 2 on 1 for edmonton, it took away a PP that could have easily made the series 2-0. Therefore, the panthers have not dominated the series.

Also, remember elkholms undisciplined crosscheck in game 3 and the evander kane high sticks? What about this crosscheck very early in game 4 ? Why no PP? https://youtube.com/shorts/8gujiHPfsz0?si=I46OM1IvsYbuwn6G
