Fernstrom can’t play in the AHL this year. If you guys are doing this for a living. You have to increase your knowledge of the NHL.
Wouldn’t they lose Howard also if he plays College Hockey and they trade for him but don’t sign him? He can’t play college if he does sign.
Don’t forget he won SHL rookie of the year. 18 and playing against men in the SHL. Plus Dubas said he wanted Melvin in the trade because he wanted to draft him originally and the Canucks got him first. We know Dubas can draft. If he had his eye on him he must know a lot about him already.
I will say if this is indeed Malkin’s final season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, it’s been one hell of an era and hell of a ride.
Unfortunately, that’s how sports go eras have beginnings and they have ends, but I never for once not for one day took this era for granted. If this is indeed the final season for him in Pittsburgh, I will cherish every single game that happens this season.
I would not trade a first for him because he will need to be signed. No guarantee he signs with the penguins if tampa trades him. He has to want to play here to sign here.

I'm all for Isaac Howard. I take it down to the wire in negotiating for him no matter how long it takes, that way Tampa's asking price comes down since he isn't going to come back to them anyways. Is he a LW only? Would be nice if he was able to play center since the Pens need more centers in their system.
I also think the Penguins should absolutely be in on Isaac Howard, but only if the price is right. Plus he has familiarity with Dan Muse, as he coached him in the United States developmental program so that could also help the penguins out if they try to trade for him.
Agree with Hunter on Howard. No reason to give up a 1st. They don’t have leverage and if Howard becomes a free agent, the pens have the spot for Howard to make the team sooner than most teams and in a top 6 role.
I know this doesn’t have anything involve with the video but do you know any new info on the penguins new alternate jersey??? But I will say this I’d love for the penguins to get Isaac Howard!!!

My take on Yohe's story is to remind people that after last season (2023-24) both Geno and his wife had said, during multiple interviews, that Geno wanted to finish his current contract with Pittsburgh, and then go back to play in Russia. In a few of the articles, he'd even hinted that he and Ovi planned to play together, there.
Also, just a few weeks ago, Ovi's wife said that this coming season would be Ovi's final season in the NHL.
Geno traded to Caps. They finish top in east. Pens go on Cinderella run for 8th. All hell breaks loose
