The QMJHL level of competition is questionable. Desnoyers performed well in the Q playoffs but once he faced better competition in the Memorial Cup, he disappeared.

Get Frondell. He had better numbers than David Pastrňák and Nylander, and he's bigger. 6' 1", 200 lbs with an elite shot and makes his living battling men on the boards for pucks. Screw that tournament. Pastrňák had a downer tournament as well. And, he just turned 18. Easy choice, IMO.

Frondell looks small for a 6'1" 200lb kid. Desnoyers looks bigger than 6'2" 180lbs????

They drafted Bedard he certainly doesn’t have high end skating. Why the big fuss over Martone’s skating?

People say Frondell was a no show at juniors but remember. Misa was also a non factor in the playoffs also. And he had no injuries
If the asking price is #3 & the Blackhawks 2026 1st rd pick for #1, you absolutely do that.
At the combine Frondell was weighed at 204lbs, same as Martone
Also, we can't watch chsn on regular TV. But at least we can listen at 1000 am. Also, I do put all my apps on my cell to see my shows. I can stream on the hotel.
If the player that you draft at #3 ends up being a 3rd line player, regardless of position, its a massive failure.
Anyone that thinks that Desnoyers can play like, and be as good as Jonathan Toews has clearly never seen Desnoyers play hockey. Hes just not as talented, skilled or as explosive as Toews was at the same age.

I'm not sure your tiers are correct. Schaefer is tier 1 but there's little difference between Misa, Hagens & Martone Frondell & Desnoyers. It depends on how scouts value each ones skills. Also outside of Desnoyers no prospect is guaranteed a C in the NHL FYI.

watching hockey abroad is easy. I watch most Blackhawks games from my place in the jungle in Belize.
Don't overthink it. Get Porter. We need some size and grit. Unless one of the top 2 is somehow still there.
