Oilers played terrible. I mean none of the commentators go over the plus and minuses because Edmonton was not in the pluses.
First 3 games were great. Game 6 was Boring. You’re letting your bias SEEP through the screen dog.

2:48 Skinner had 3 players right beside him with blue and the one covering the Florida that got the Panther was not far off but didn't react. I think Skinner just trusted his players to get a puck when they outnumbered the Panthers
this series and playoffs as a whole was so predictable and felt like nothing changed from last year. please fix something NHL!! you will lose fans unless change is made. start by not allowing teams like Florida to be 10-20 Mil over cap space during the playoffs again. this ain’t fair and their 10-3 away record in the playoffs shows it.

horrible final. Mcdavid outclassed, outplayed… terrible mistakes that first goal was so significant. That guy should be traded in a stanley cup final making that type of mistake? But you said something very relevant- Mcdavid is being wasted! That is awful for such an amazing player along with Draitsalt sp? Oilers need a better goalie, better defence touch ups in the d would be good. Someone who can play solid in the defence in play offs. And someone to play along the power 2 stars. This was awful. Everyone knew the panthers were going to win and it was worst than last year. At least last year they made it to game 7 and they worked really hard.

Bennett won't warrant an extra few million. He likey stays around 6m, Marchy could stay around the same as well, 6m. Think they have like 20m of cap space so they could make it work. Would likely lose Ekblad but Jones fills his spot and they can hopefully find a budget D man. They could come back next year just as good, which is scary.
Terrible goaltending and Defense along with a captain that was almost nonexistent on the board in the finals. Edmonton won't win with Skinner. He should be a back up for a SC team.

The oilers had more giveaways,mistakes,even in the other series' they are just lucky they have Mcdavid, and Draisaitl,& Perry that they made it this far …the Panthers are a team of grinders no Superstars ,& a great goalie

I think the past few years of Stanley Cup finals have shown just how much a benefit US teams from states with no to low tax have.
Absolutely Florida was the better team and have more depth with an amazing coach. But just how much of that depth is a result of being able to pay better players less?

Rest of the series was great but hey, i'm biased as a cats fan 🤭 Which i am thanks to the oilers last year, the only reason i could see the stanley cup finale in germany was Leon Draisaitl 🤣 Still don't like him but thanks to them i fell in love with the Panthers 🤭
Maybe next year, its a bit sad to see them lose again. Maybe with a deeper team and not only two superstars and their support. And i really hope Skinner finds a better place/team to play. The oilers fanbase is just cruel, not as crazy as leafs but that man deserves better treatment.

What I remember thinking vividly during last year's Edmonton final loss was that Skinner was letting in bad goals due to his flop style. Same story here. Goes down – puck over his shoulder. Goes down – puck slide underneath him as he is going down. We are supposed to learn from mistakes and make corrections. This never happened in the goaltending department.
It's funny how Florida hasnt had income tax since 1924, including the 30 years of panthers being a poverty franchise, but now it's a huge problem. Canadians are so salty lol
