Nonetheless it was a great series..
Oilers looked great vs Dallas. Very good win. But vs Florida
even in game 1they were noticeably outmatched. The two Oilers wins were not convincing and had Bettman’s fingerprints all over them.Absolutely trash defense by nurse. Horrible mid zone play by Kane. Horrible horrible behind the net play by skinner. Oilers r overrated let’s be honest
You can’t have number two and number 14 make a dumb mistake in game six right off the bat!? 14 should’ve plowed Reinhardt into next year but just like Wallman who got alley ooped also allowed a stupid mistake goal. We need some Stanley Cup winners in there to show these clowns what it takes.

The oilers have to make changes to get back to the finals. First, get rid of their two incompetent goalies and bring in a big name goalie. Next, get rid of Eckstrom on defense. He's too old and slow and got beat constantly on defense. That would be a good start.
British fan here – sorry for the dumb question, but why don't they adjust the salary cap by team to take account of local taxes? Level it up for everyone?

Florida has a great system; it works very well. But all of the little pokes and jabs and uncalled cross checks was frustrating to watch. Great system matched with a bunch of very skilled goons is what wins the cup in today's NHL. And Tkachuk now talking crap about the oilers and questioning their teamwork is uncalled for, panthers can eat my ass. Oilers still have the best player in the world. And it will show in the upcoming Olympics. Tkachuk brothers won't be getting gold in February.
During game six, I didn't see ONE Oilers players out of breath and sweating buckets. They gave zero effort and got what they deserved, nothing.
They need to get rid of Kane. 3 games his stupid penalties tilted the whole game
I moved to Edmonton but never a hockey fan, more of a basketball fan. It does look like the Oilers were playing the same way and trying the same thing hoping it’ll work while Panthers adjusted right game after game. The defence difference was night and day. But what a treat for a new hockey here.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a coaching change in EDM. Inability to adjust in key moments is an issue.
"No Tax" States have a Massive Advantage when the following takes place:
Player A wants 10mil per year
Player B wants 12mil per year
Team A is a Tax Free State
Team B is a None Tax Free State
Team A can make the Desired players A and B there offers.
Team B will need to Offer Player A 12 mil and Player B 14 mil.
Team B now has 4 mil Less to improve there Team over Team A.
Team A can repeat this Process over the ENTIRE TEAM and Also use said cap space for trades for draft picks, deadline upgrades and Straight up better Base/Depth Players then Team B has access to.
