  1. Spending is going to go BatIsht this off-season for teams.

Smart teams will lay back, watch the craziness, and pounce on the "scraps" which, IMO, will be worth more than all the blank checks handed out in the next few days.

  2. Honestly kind of surprised Dallas couldn't find any team willing to offer two 3rd round picks for this player. Seems like very good value for Seattle.

  3. I don't think teams were offering anything worthwhile for Robertson cuz they knew Dallas needed a salary dump…

  4. I say Dallas uses those 2 picks in a package deal, as a sweetener, including Lybushkin, to aquire another player. Then they buyout Dumba

  5. As a Sharks fan I'd hoped he'd join his Dad's old club, but as a Kraken fan second… I'm good with it. 😅

  6. I'm surprised you aren't furious over this, considering you called him the one that got away. He should have been ours. Most of us thought it would take a Robertson or McMann (possibly both) with some sweeteners, but they let him go for nothing and I'm cursing Brad's name tonight for not closing this deal. Is bro asleep at the wheel again? This was the #1 no-brainer move this offseason and it's not like he had to wait for other deals to go through, given how cheap this contract is for the caliber of player that Marchment is.

  7. This wreaks of desperation from DAL. Bad move. Props to the Krakalaken for pulling this off. That's a couple for Seattle and, well, DAL can enjoy Douche. That was auto correct btw…😏

  8. At last! Another person who recognizes the need to buy out Grubauer. OVERDUE! Good trade for Seattle, but they still need another gun.

  9. i think it was a good trade for both teams it fill need and it seems like the Stars aren't done making moves you think they will make more . the Stars do have up and coming players so do they left some players walk and some of the younger guys get shots .

  10. as its my main team i expected this. Hate to see him leave but had to happen.

  11. Not that it’s actually gonna happen, but how petty would it be if Edmonton offer sheeted Hofer from St. Louis? 👀 Just sayingggg

  12. I think Dallas probably packages up one of those picks as sweetener for a Dumba or Lybushkin deal just to get him off the books and off the roster. Buyout the other one of those two players that wasn't traded. Qualify Bourque and Lundqvist, bring up Blumel, resign Benn at league minimum (or at $1m) with performance bonuses that would fall to next season, and Maybe resign Granlund if there is enough cap space at that point. Dadonov, Blackwell, Smith, and Ceci definitely walk as UFAs IMO.

  13. The Kraken pretty much did the Oliver Bjorkstrand trade again. They took advantage of the CBJ in a tough cap spot a few years ago to get him for cheap. Similar deal here

  14. Marchment was good offensively but he took so many untimely penalties that costed Dallas in the playoffs, marchy also went ghost in the conference finals

  15. The only time that grubauer has been worth a damn was the Colorado playoff series a couple years ago. I fully expect him to be bought out

  16. As a Seattle fan, all I really want rn is for kartye to resign and for us to get someone anyone to score a dang goal. And we’ve got 15 mil left to do it.

  17. Sucks we had to let Marchment go, but cap hell is cap hell and it comes for all contending teams.

  18. Damn, I wish the Canucks could have made this deal, especially considering we're going to lose Boeser, Marchment would have been a good replacement, and only for a 3rd and 4th rounder ? Damn we missed out imo.

  19. Only 5 years ago he was a leaf for a cup of coffee.
    You got Malgin for him.
Thats a tough one looking back.

  20. Cautious optimism. We really need guys who will punch other guys in the face on the Kraken. I'm not thrilled with his diving tendencies but I do like guys who can score 20+ goals.

  21. I agree, no one wants Dumba unless they trade him for a 5th round pick. I can see Dallas moving Robertson to keep the Finnish line and let Benn walk. Ceci wasn't a groundbreaking move and I can see Dallas letting him walk.

  22. Kraken fan here. The trade is even worse for Dallas. One of those picks is their own pick they had previously given to Seattle.
