If you followed BT in Calgary you'd know this is business as usual, he's in on every big trade or acquisition but gets almost nothing done. He' won't do anything at the trade deadline, perhaps a small deal here and there and maybe a larger deal 3-4 weeks before the trade deadline. Offseason it'll be allot like this. Keep in mind with BT, he and his management group ran the Coyotes into the ground, he inherited the core in Calgary and for a half the time he was in Calgary they missed the playoffs and left that franchise in shambles (he was gonna lose his job and incredibly the Leafs picked him up) and now he's in complete charge. Don't expect much. BT is pretty mcuh a yes man, Berube was likely Shanahan's guy as was Domi etc but make no mistake BT shy's away from the big-splash deal and he's hardwired that way. He won't embarrass the leafs like signing felons such as Kane but he won't move the dial much on his own either.
Zibanejad for OEL makes sense
I would prefer Vincent Trocheck. Same age, shoots right and isn't on a NMC.
Mika Zibanejad is set to earn $8.5 MIL until he is 37. Why not try to sign right shot Boesner who is 4 years younger?
The leafs need Marchand. I think Bennett and Eklad resigning with Florida. Brodie is being boughout by Chicago.
Being in the position he was put in with upchuck treliving did fantastic on that trade, he got a 115 point heberdeau AND weegar (there's not a person in the world that would have called the heberdeau decline)
If Rielly does NOT improve this year TOR isn't winning anything.
Just hold onto all assetts and try to trade Rielly, Matthews and Nylander if they will take a trade.

It's my understanding that Treliving offered Nick Robertson and a 2nd rd pick . why would Dallas a team looking to shed salary want to add a player under contract stupid and Marchment has a M-NMC so he could have vetoed that trade in favor of another tax free state regardless this was a player they needed to acquire and Treliving was unable to get the job done my suggestion #FIRETRELINGNOW
