I had my doubts about Botterill going into this offseason, but damn. I'm really impressed with this trade. Never in a million years would I have expected them to get out from under that contract basically scot-free.
I get the impression that the Kraken are hoping to have an improved Gru next season. All reports are there will be a lot more back to backs next season. After going 0-12 if the Kraken want any chance of playoffs they can't be going 0-whatever next season.

I love this trade! Good luck to Burky. Ok I hope we buy out Veleno I don’t like the numbers you showed. I hope more moves will be made trades and acquisitions. I hope the kraken don’t do anything in free agency. I know they will but if they do I hope it’s short term deals 3 years max.

I would be fine with them not resigning Evans. We need better defense. Literally, that's all anyone has said over the last season is that we need better defense, so a few of these guys have to be swapped out. I like most of the team as people, but if they care about winning they have to make hard decisions.
