    There's a whole bunch of draft scenarios that I could bring up, but let's digress into organizational coaching for a minute. Lappy was removed from AHL Phantoms head coach & reportedly headed to some front office 'consultant' position. I heard that neither the Phantoms or Flyers have had 'shooting accuracy' or 'skating skills' coaches for over 2 years !!! It's not going to matter who they draft if they can't develop them & improve their weaknesses.

    Fast forward to the 30:00 mark if you want to hear about the draft, contract extensions and trade rumors like the title says. The first 30 minutes is garbage about the Panthers and Bobrovski.

    There is no way bob would have been here still completely agree with Charlie! He was not a playoff performer and we would have absolutely have yelled to have him traded

    As for the draft, I wish they could package some later picks and/or let's say – York, Tippett, or Brink to get another 1st in between 11 & 22. I'm figure Schaffer, Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers will be the top 4 to go. Then it will come down to Hagens / Martone / O'Brien / Martin / Eckland / Myrtka in some order at 5 thru 10. Briere takes a big swing for Roger McQueen with that extra pick. Maybe defenseman Blake Fiddler at 22, goalie Joshua Ravensburgen at 31.

    This is an exaggeration if I’ve ever heard one when it came to Bob. I agree that running this back with Leighton and Boucher was a bad plan but a basically unknown Russian player (who was undrafted might I add) can’t come into any organization and dictate things. I don’t think Bryz was a bad signing at the time, especially with how bad Bob took his first playoff loss. Bryz and Bob are fellow countrymen, at least coexist. Now once the wheels were coming off with Bryz, the Flyers probably should have and could have ran with Bob. It’s not like the opportunities weren’t there. Laviolette kicked Bryz as starter for the winter classic. A national game, in favor of Bob. I don’t remember Bob being incredible as a Flyer, and you just can’t allow young players to run things their way. I feel like Aleksei Kolosov came over and just had the same “play me or else” attitude. Is Aleksei Kolosov is the next Bob? I doubt it but I guess we’ll never know because the kid isn’t getting his way. If anything, Columbus screwed up much worse because the Jackets actually knew what they had…

    That still irks me after all these years that they let bob go and seeing him lift the cup 2 times and then they went out and got a head case goalie in Bryz , typical flyers

    If the Flyers are taking a shot at a Goalie, I wouldn't mind them trying to sign Levi as an RFA. Seems like the Sabres have somewhat given up on him and you wouldn't have to trade off the roster.

    I’m an Islander fan since the Dynasty days. I don’t think the Flyers like the Islanders so much that they’re going to help the Islanders get Hagens. I want Hagens, but I don’t think the Flyers really want to help it happen.

    To answer Charlie's question, the last time I went into a Flyers game feeling like there were heavy stakes, was the last game of this past season in Buffalo. And thank goodness for chef boyardee, they managed to leave with the L.
    The final chapter of the saga being the potential debate the Flyers might have between Martone, Frondell and O'Brien if the draft breaks that way.

    I disagree with Charlie often, but he is 1000% correct on what happened with Bob and the why. I could have strangled Laviolette for that fiasco and haven’t cheered for that scumbag one day since then. Going back to disagreeing with him, I think Fiddler would be an excellent pick at #22. Hagens and Fiddler would be a home run.
