  1. The goalies and ASP should be absolutely off limits. Any other prospect I’d trade away along with the first and the right roster player. Berggren is indeed in this category of right roster player.

  2. ASP, Augustine and the 13th? Put the crack pipe down and slowly back away. ASP is the perfect partner for Edvinson. Wings need a LD for Seider. I don't really see where Dobson fits with the Wings unless you trade ASP and that's a hard pass for me.

  3. Still ain’t gonna happen. The price will be too steep, including Dobson’s payday, for Yzerman.

  4. ASP is off the table for me. These elite prospects are just about ripe, people have been so critical of Yzerman- with justification as far as free agent signings go, but the drafting has been on point. Don’t get rid of the best pieces you’ve drafted right when your best prospects are coming of age

  5. Relax Detroit Fans

Lego just here for click bait

Nothing of substance just regurgitated rumours from so called “insiders”

None of whom had either trades involving Rantanen

Nor Marchand, nor Jones, nor Zegras nor anything

  6. There's no world where the wings are trading ASP, Augustine, and 13 OA for a defenseman. Dobson is very good, but if Detroit is spending that many assets they are adding a premium young 1C or winger.

  7. A cap dump, 13th pick, Danielson and one of Johansson, Wallinder or Buium gets this trade done. No other team can offer anything close to that deal for an RFA who won’t sign.

  8. Many teams wanted Kasper in trade talks with detroit and Yzerman was a firm and immediate "NO". ASP, although a defensemen, Ceiling is Elite and way higher than kaspers. So Yzermans not letting go of a future star d man, especially when they are hurting for another star d man. Never happen. Same with Augustine. Detroits been looking for steady goaltending, they arent trading him either.

  9. Talk about 2 extremes: Compher, Berggren and 13th were a very rough start for NY, but ASP AND Augustine is the whole other side and quite the overpay.
Dobson absolutely is that RD behind Seider and improve that Top 4 massively, and he absolutely is anything you would expect an ASP to turn into and then some.

But I'd say no to just about any player wanting 8 digits that is not Marner. You could absolutely trade one of Augustine/Cossa plus one of your blue-chippers, but you'd need to make space somewhere else (Compher/Tarasenko). Besides: If the unlikely thing happens and Eklund drops to 13, I would take that pick over most trades.

  10. Move Tarasenko Cossa 13th. Do not move ASP Augustine or Nate Danielson. I believe those are 3 best Wings prospects. I think Cossa will be a bust. Augustine is the chosen one

  11. If it took a player a 2nd and 4th for Zegras
The same rate should apply for Dobson, possibly less as he is demanding BIG money.
Why does Detroit have to step up with big assets for these types of trades?

  12. I have had faith in the Yzerplan all this time, but i would absolutely stroke out if he made that trade for Dobson. That is a HORRIBLE trade. There are other great Dmen available for way less, especially with him expected to want a contract like that.

  13. I don't think this deal gets done without ASP. It would be a painful loss in the short term… Stevie will have to weigh that in. Berrgren and our 1st not a deal breaker though.

  14. Let's get serious a minute.. Dobson is great but he does'nt deserve more money than Seider yet. I'd say paying him in a trade more than this year 1st rounder a top prospect, Berggren and a 3rd would be Crazy stupid and I'm 100% certain Yzerman would never do that silly thing. Why ? Because you don't sell Big on premium assets while you're a rebuilding team knowing that Dobson never had more than 1 great season as an offensive/2 way Dman and also considering he would be 30 when the Red Wings would be significant PO performers. That's an easy pass for me at that cost.

  15. If he doesn't agree to go to a grand rapids this year then you can bet your botyom dollar that he's definitely going to test free agency and is leaveing this team hanging.

  16. It makes no sense whatsoever, Red Wings are set on their RH Dmen, it's Seider and ASP then a 3rd pairing fill-in, if Dobson was a 70pt center/winger, sure I am all ears, but cmon this is bad.

  17. Once again I hope this is just talk,,this would be terrible for the Wings, Dobson is good BUT not that good, but Yzerman has been making some nasty trades, giving Wallman for well he actually paid to get rid of him and Veleno for a washed up goalie !!

  18. It doesn't make sense to trade ASP. He has the potential to be a Hughes or Hutson level offensive dman. Even if it takes a year for him to play in the NHL, its worth the wait. If we were trading for Dobson and ASP was included.. I'd only be okay with it if it was a one for one. Even then, I would be very concerned it would blow up in our face if ASP becomes a superstar. His ceiling is so high, the sky is the limit. Then adding Augustine and our 13th overall puck?!? That's just insane. You're talking about trading one of the best defensive prospects in the world and one of the best goalie prospects in the world and potentially Eklund or Reschney.. for a 2nd pairing RHD. That just makes no sense. This rumor went from aan awful offer from the Wings to an absolutely unrealistic overpay.

  19. Got a different one. How about Sandin Pelikka, Cossa and Detroit's first round pick for San Jose's first pick? Wings then select Misa.

  20. No to Dobson. We don't need a right side D. We need a left side to line up with Seider. Bowen Byram. Byram is the final piece to Detroit's Defense. Picking up Ehlers off Free Agency would also be a bonus. Mazur, Lombardi, Tuomsito, 2025 1st for Byram. And then Pickup Ehlers. Then trade away Compher, Copp, Tarasenko for whatever you can get.
    DeBrincat – Larkin – Raymond
    Ehlers – Kasper – Kane
    Soderblom – Rasmussen – Berggren
    Byram – Seider
    Edvinsson – ASP
