This draft format was super lame.. the video call with the players and GM were kind of cringe. Sucks the Sens had technical difficulties on theirs, you could see how dissappointed Andlaeur was, kinda huge the owner showed up for that call though
Most cringe draft of all time. This format needs to be abandoned and forgotten. It was so awkward seeing the draft picks gets walked into that room and have a call with the management while an interviewer is sticking a microphone in their face… it was just plain bad.
The NHL couldn't grow if they had the Catilyn Clark, Michael Jordan, Shonei Othani, and Usain Bolt of NHL at the same time.

Good stuff. Not a sexy pick but maybe a valuable one down the road. Im a little jealous and concerned for Habs. But I love Sens depth down the middle, our left side and goaltending. Really it’s about the buy in and relentless pressure and back checking. Sens building a culture.

I was watching ESPN and it was funny when they announced Hensler then they went up to the big screen to talk to Staios and Andlauer and they had technical difficulties you couldn't hear them lol. Honestly wasn't expecting this pick from the Sens I agree with Pillzy would have been nice to go for a player with skill someone like Malcolm Spence or Cullen Potter. Also found it funny when people kept booing Bettman everytime he would come up on stage lol. Scouching had him pretty high, and mentioned that they projected him to be a Right-Handed version of Sanderson, and looking at their freshman years and the previous US National U18/USNTDP year, their numbers are strikingly similar.

Its weird to see the Sens get praised for their pick in the 1st round that hasnt happened in a while. I Like Hensler as a prospect was hoping they'd go with a forward but I love that they traded down and now to get that forward prospect maybe someone that was projected to go in the 1st but is sliding I hope they use that early 3rd they got and something else to move up into the earlier 2nd round

Hensley wasnt my choice, but I dont hate it. Would have liked Spence. I know there is 1% chance for Ottawa to do this. But if Schmidt or Benak are still there at 3rd round I would really like to take that swing. Just so much talent. Hard to be ignored. Also would like 67s Filip Ekberg.

He looks like an nhl player being smooth,good mobility,hockey sense and big. He still has a few years of development and only played 12 min a game last year. Wisconsin is a good school and they got another 3rd pick. The other forwards left were probably 3rd line players. They got a number 2 or 4 defenseman I believe. Great Job.
