I was still hoping they would have traded out of the first round as part of a blockbuster deal.

Hopefully he gets to the NHL before 2030.
Trade away everything for Gavin McKenna.. give whoever, whatever to get that pick. come in dead last this year if thats what it takes ( I'm trying to get excited about something instead of playing the wait and see game)

To me, Detroit is almost done with their rebuild. They are only lacking a top 4 LD. A prospect like Anton Silayev comes to mind that would be ideal fit to fill that final spot. I expect all of these prospects to make it to the NHL in 4-5 years. These are Detroit's top prospects that have a good track record so far.

I feel like fans are having some knee-jerk reactions to not getting Dobson. Dobson plays the same position as Seider, was asking for more money than Mo. The move didn’t make sense for the Wings. A solid free agency puts this team in the playoff conversation.
