   Almost all hockey scouts and hockey experts agreed that Schaefer is clearly the best prospect in this draft. He was a clear cut #1 so your take on Misa is off base compared to the guys who do this for a living.

   I’m very reserved for the Nesbit pick. 3rd line center at 12 is crazy. If he makes it to 2nd line, than he either improved massively or we still ain’t making the playoffs.

   IMO, the biggest steals: Hagens, Eklund, Aitcheson, Bear, Lakovic…and whoever gets Spence and Fiddler in round 2.

   The take on Frondell by the public is scary .

   That man is nothing but a center if the hawks do use him like a center they would be dumb. He’s going to be a monster.

   I think grading the Jake OBrien pick as a C+ is confusing. Draft should be about best player available, not what the team needs right at that moment, especially when a lot can change on NHL rosters in the next two or three seasons when most of these draft picks start breaking into the NHL. I'm glad Seattle stuck to the best player available way of thinking, especially with a top 10 pick. I'd give that pick a B+.

    Grav you don’t pick for need in a rebuild. BPA.

    Giving the top goalie prospect a D is
    Laughable if that’s how you run a rebuild filling out need you will be Buffalo.

    When you have all the cap space on earth you never draft for need when the prospects on D are not that strong.

    I dont get the hate on the Kraken pick. The one thing everyone says is its hard to find centres and best way is through the draft. So Kraken just increasing their odds of finding future centres for the franchise by stockpiling as many as possible. All other positons can be aquired in trades etc…good centres are hard to get in market so why not just stockpile your own supply of them inhouse

    Islanders masterclass but also the Ducks nailed it! BTW did you see O’Brien’s limp? Didn’t look good at all. I know it was tough watch streaming but in person it was amazing. Long winded but worth it.

    Guys rating scale makes no damn sense in the slightest 😂😂 ranting and raving about how good the pick is, how much potential the player has, and how well they will fit into a team and then giving out a B… or saying a pick is solid nothing spectacular but definitely a smart pick for the team and then giving a C or C- 🤣

    You will change your tune next year when Nesbitt and Belchetz are face banging the OHL next year.

    The kid just scratched the surface of his upside and was playing on an older Windsor team with established guys like Greentree and Protas and yet as a 17/18 year old was able to still stand out and had a good playoffs run.

    Stop being a prisoner of your mock boards and actually pay attention to the situations.

    The biggest winner of the first round is Canada's world junior team for next year. What a squad that's going to be. Especially considering their best player is going to be McKenna and he wasn't even draft eligible last night. I'm getting 2005 vibes.

    Philly had the best draft. Making Pitt look stupid. Pitt traded up and down and could of gotten logan but picked kindel. Extremely questionable. Passed on coote kaschwen and smith…

    Didn't like the blues pick either… don't see the fit their… would of gone logan or like what u said lakovic.
    Teams should.never go best available… this is why the sens had such a good draft… traded down because their were othe players available…LA as well.

    Obviously can’t predict the future, but if McQueen hits, it’ll have been an A++++ pick. I think your grading needs to be tailored to not just on the ice fit but also marketing fit. They’re gonna sell a ton of his jerseys and it opens the door for all kinds of Disney collaborations for not only merchandise but in game graphics and giveaways and what not. He’ll have to play well to get there, but if that happens, can be huge for Anaheim

    I didn't find the Jets choice curious at all. Yes, they have a couple of European D they aren't playing, but Heinola isn't young at this point as seems like he won't work out for them. Salomonsson will be in the lineup soon and plays the right side. 3rd pairing is one of their biggest weaknesses.

    As a hawks Fla I’m happy with frondell but we should’ve tooken lakovic at 25 and then one of my favorite players in the draft Cullen potter at 29. That would have been my dream draft

    I love the Porter pick, the Nesbitt pick makes sense but not at 12. I get it. He’s a Keith Jones type of player, showed improvement as the season progressed, and tested as one of the best forwards physically/athletically at the combine. I’m hoping he’s not just a workout warrior and has the drive to improve with good coaching. Then tools he has can make for a solid NHL player, the size, athleticism, and plus shot is a solid base to start with, but at 12 I feel like this was a reach.
