Share him with the Bears. How could we pass on Spence?
Ironic that Frondell is the runt of our picks today.
go BIG or go home !!
How does athleticism translate? Said that about spellacy and he kinda sucked last year in far inferior league
Good stuff 👏
He's an August 2007 birthday so one of the youngest guys in the draft. I watched a bunch of highlights and what stood out was his fluid skating – especially at 6'6" / 215lbs and still only 17.
We 100% needed size I'm happy with the pick.
Mason has the potential to be a very good player. He moves better than any other big guy in the 1st round.
Very confusing to me ….we probably would have gotten him and 34….maybe even at 62?! But why did it cost a 5th also to move up just 5 spots
As a Wild fan I’m pissed, I wanted us to take him with our pick at #52. He was projected to go around the 50 range. I swear the Blackhawks did this just to c***block the Wild. I’m absolutely pissed. He was the one guy I was hoping we’d get in this draft
Hey Jack, love you show. But this is a pretty easy one to figure out with the 25th and 29th pick. With Anton, more than likely coming on to the scene in the 26-27 season along with a number of prospects already drafted and being developed, coming up this coming season and along with Anton, taking two high upside long-term projects makes perfect sense.
They're both going to be to 4 years out and West maybe even 5 years before he gets on the big ice. This is about the time that a lot of these current prospects will be seeking second contracts. Depending on their development, what these current prospects might be asking for depending on development, where we might need holes to be filled. Having these long-term high upside prospects means if somebody is asking for more than they want to invest or we just have too many prospects that are starting to hit, we can trade them and then bring up a guy out of the pool without losing anything.
I see KD and his plan very clearly as he's spreading out the arrival time of his prospect pool so we dont have to many on the 40 protection list at one time while extending the "life" of our pool
