    The last time the Flyers moved up to draft a player based on size and not talent was Sam Morin and he turned into one of the best players in franchise history 🤣🤣

    No offense to Jack but I don’t like the trade and the pick. They could have use those picks on much more needed defense and goaltending. I doubt another team was taking him before 22, they didn’t need to trade up to get Jack . Also they should have trade up for McQueen if the really were dead set on drafting a big center, since he was the best one in the draft. Though as a flyers fan it is what it is and I hope jack turns into a star ⭐️.

    Schaefer said this guy is the biggest horse/beast in the draft, and Porter having good things to say, I think while you cant take everything they say 100% listening to people who play against him, is a big deal to find out info you cant just by watching

    There were a lot of centers bunched up in the top 20 players, but when RW Martone fell to the sixth pick, they had to take him. The need for a big center was still there. Team obviously didn’t think an impact center would be there at pick 22. Did they overpay? Yes, but they got two big forwards with skill and speed. Counting Zegras into equation, they’ve added a lot of skill for four 2025 picks plus Poehling. Still have three picks in 2nd round & one early 3rd round. I’ll take it.

    Good pick. We got a lot bigger with him and martone. I think people will be pleasantly surprised here. Size and skill is a good mixture and flyers have been missing it for oh man, we're going back to '97 😂

    lets go philly! unless your picking 1-3, after that there are no guarantee's for any team picking a young player. the flyers just got way better than last year, with these 2 picks, martone is a stud and draft experts had him going as high as 3/4, thats a fact. this kid martone is a keith primeau prototype folks, look out eastern conference in 2 years! nesbitt will be a stud may take 3/4 years but philly now has future weapons, the game plan is not win now but build now and win in 2/3 years. zegras is a huge upside for skill and speed and offense, imagine zegras an michkov on the first line, hope arena's have spare red lights, cause these 2 boys are gonna light it up under rick tocchet. 3 second round picks coming to and free agencey with plenty of cap space to add more solid proven players. finally, lets go flyers! great job DB and KJ, let them do their work folks

    A lot of Flyer fans on various fan sites having meltdowns over this pick. You know, the typical Flyer fan meltdown. They got the consensus best winger in the draft and then gambled and moved up and got a big center that they desperately needed in a draft where they weren’t there after the top 5. I don’t get it, everyone didn’t want them to play it safe and they didn’t here. Look at the history of where they were picking from with #22 and # 31 picks in the last say 25 years. No one almost ever has been a difference maker that have been picked in those spots. Few and very far between. This kid was a late riser that ended up in the top 15-20 in most of the prospect rankings. If you count Zegras in this draft, it’s been an amazing off season so far. They’re gotten younger and better. All you can ask.
